I miss my happy, friendly community

I've never really understood that. While people may be able to behave as they wish with little to no fear of reprisal, which can understandably bring out things they're generally too chickenshit to do in RL, that same anonymity means that our identity in this medium is almost entirely a product of our behavior as well. The fact that it's a largely social medium means that people's attitudes and behavior toward you significantly affects your experience of it, and if you have a reputation for being a flaming dickhole, well . . . your experience may suffer for it. I can only assume that they're too stupid/socially inept to understand that.

tl;dr: I still don't get why people are dicks on the internet, because people are just going to be dicks right back.
