More notable, the HITMAN DLCs are in a GOTY bundle listing on Steam, so each free episode reduces future purchasing considerations. Then again, that bundle also includes a $15 cosmetic DLC, so perhaps not. :P

Tales of Zestria offers a $20 cheat pack, for people that don't want to quickly mod in cheats into the game for free on their own. That's still the most absurd DLC* (in terms of gain versus cost) that I've ever seen. :P

That was my thought, too. I checked my library, and apparently I have Episode 1 from a bundle, and episode 2 from a previous free promotion, so it looks like they actually are going through the entire game free / cheaply, just very very slowly.

That is what I am wondering, they could give 4 during fall, like around september (that would be like 3 months from now) most episodes have been around the 3-4 months) then release 5 at winter around december, and then finally end it with 6 in the spring. But maybe they might release some more of the episodes prior to hitman 2's release?

Funny I was just wondering myself when the 3rd episode was going to be released free since was watching someone stream hitman the other weak and he was going through the different episodes, so far he got through to marakesh, but I just owned the fist 2 (+ tutorial area) paris and the sapienza.

I downloaded it on Xbox One already but there is a note in the bottom that says : Game Access lasts for the summer pack period but your saved progress will transfer to the full game if purchased.
Does this mean that it will be removed at the end of the summer period?

It looks like I will be forced to play this game ahead of some games in my backlog. I haven't played the first 2 episodes because of my huge backlog, but I think I will play the 3rd one before July 31.

Hmm, for some reason I couldn't even buy it right now, if I wanted to. https://store.steampowered.com/app/440930/HITMAN_Episode_3__Marrakesh/ only gives me the price for the whole bundle. So even if this goes free in a few hours, it's pretty lame that I couldn't buy the other episodes if I wanted to. Also, I'm still missing episode 2, so I guess, 3 and 1 on their own are pretty much useless.

So each episode is completely on it's own, so it makes no difference for the story and everything e.g. when you play episode 3 first then 1 and don't play 2 at all? And yes, I've seen the bundle, but my point is, it's pretty lame you can't just buy a single episode in case you're missing one, only want one or don't want the whole bundle.

Yeah sadly that new Hitman game is more oriented towards grinding the same mission over and over again than towards playing the whole story in a row, as the old ones used to be. So I guess the upside is that you can pick a single episode a play just that... if only they let you buy them separately (I believe it used to be possible when the game wasn't fully released though)

Summer Pack is up on PSN for those interested. It's nice that they're giving the episodes free so far. I was going to buy this game on sale, but it looks like maybe we won't have to pay after all. At the very least, it'll be a nice discount in the bundle package when it goes on sale if the rest don't go free eventually.
