How big is your pocket?

View Results
[Buy] Only got twenty dollars in my pocket [...] This is fucking awesome.
[Have] I have no Hatred towards IG rebundling these games, but I won't buy them since I already own them.
[Skip] Not big enough to buy this bundle.
[Price] Someone from IG hammered that price button a bit too much.

Hammerwatch is awesome, love that game. I own Black Death but I haven't played it, it looks like a kool game. Wishlisted Hatred.

Side note: The Black Death devs announced on the 8th plans to fix the exploits hurting the game as well as doing a wipe. That patch should of hit a couple days ago.

Overall I wouldn't say it's a bad bundle for the games in it. Even though it's only 3 games it's definitely one of the best bundles I've seen from IG as far as more well known games are concerned.

The 3 bundles that Hatred was in were 5 years ago. It wasn't in the $0.99 tier in any of them - $3 tier, $4 tier and a $5 tier.

And yes for anyone who is thinking about picking this up I would definitely wait till last minute to see what Bundlefest has to offer.

Hatred was featured in:
IndieGala - Every Monday #86 - single tier, Initial 24-hours price of $1.99, then $2.99 regular price.
Groupees - The Bundle of the Damned 4, Tier 2 ($4) but most likely with a preorder option
One More Bundle - Strategy vs Mayhem, Tier 2 ($5)

Hey :) For some reason when I clicked on the link to the first one in the graph it didn't work correctly.. might of been due to my adblocker. I've edited it to list all 3 since it did finally show the IG bundle for me.

Thanks for all the info your provide and making threads :)

IndieGala - Every Monday 86 => ~$1.70 GroupBuy
Groupees - The Bundle of the Damned 4, Tier 2 ($4) => $2.5 preorder

Only when bundle-splitting the Strategy vs Mayhem bundle would you have paid $1.5 or $1.4 for Hatred alone.

Black death has been going really cheap on GMG up until a few days ago. They had a list of games that were under €3. Some were 89 cent.

I gave away hatred here and won one for me a year later... Damn that's a VERY good game.
This bundle is a bit too much, but still worth for me.

Hatred is a surprisingly competent game. You'd think a game that was meant to be edgy and offensive would be cheaply made, bu tit isn't.

The Black Death was part of a 5 games for $5 pick & mix deal on GMG not that long ago. Honestly, that was a better offering than this.

I'd probably buy the bundle if I didn't own Hatred already. I'm quite interested in Black Death, but I'm gonna wait for a rebundle.

GMG have bundles ongoing as well. I am not good at writing up these formatted posts (markdown is kinda alien to me lol), so will leave that to Shakti or whoever wants to make a thread for it.

The Black Death is included in the medieval one here too.

Hatred's not bad at all. Hilariously edgy, the visuals are great and the destruction physics are very fun. But the gameplay and overall length are left to be desired.

Personally, I played through the whole thing in the span of two days and didn't regret spending my time with it.

question for you: do feel like the gogobundle saga somewhat affected other bundle sites? (i do)

That's a pretty general question.. affected in what way?
If you're suggesting that GoGo had any influence on cutting this bundle short... then I don't really see how. These games were not featured in GoGo bundles, so there's absolutely no risk of keys being revoked because of GoGo bankruptcy.
The bundle might have ended sooner because of several reasons. A few I can think of: maybe very low stock of keys; maybe because of too few sales; maybe because they decided to bundle these 3 games later in one of the weekly bundles etc.

true that, sorry Lilly, very general and pretty vague :P

was just a "feeling", kind of sensation, tho. and as you're handling all of them, i thought you "felt" something too. for example, Indiegala seems to have chosen a different way of building bundles, and that maybe, prices will be little higher than before and/or same price but fewer games, with a slightly, still sensible, better quality.

but as soon i've clicked on Submit Comment i thought about your Inbox, kinda regretting to bother you... and i'm doing it again, like... right now!

In the beginning, GoGo was pretty attractive for game collectors, because they had cheap bundles and a substantial amount of unbundled games. Getting a 10 pack for a $0.50 was a steal (I think most of us were GroupBuying these bundles). But then they started to rebundle their games to the point in which people were not interested in buying them any more. I guess that was the turning point of their bankruptcy.

DIG seems to have picked up where GoGo left, but with a huge marketing flaw: their bundles are extremely overpriced. There is no GroupBuy option and to pay a $4 for DIG bundles doesn't seem such a great idea when you can pay pretty much the same for a Humble Bundle BTA, which has notably higher quality games. I don't see many people buying DIG bundles nowadays and I think they'll be soon extinct. On another note though, I wish more people knew about the DIG shadiness, so that they don't get tempted to support this company. I know you like them, therefore I apologize for disappointing you, but in my book DIG is much worse than GoGo.

I think the ones really affected are BunchKeys, and they really don't deserve this. Their bundles are quite similar to GoGos, and they offer multipacks, therefore people might put an equal sign between those two stores. It's a real pity though, because BunchKeys is nothing like GoGo. They're dedicated, they're always in contact with their customers (see their comments on BunchKeys threads), they're open to feedback / suggestions, they're always looking to improve things (for example they redesigned their website to be more accessible). I do hope to see an increased quality in their bundles in the future.

Groupees, despite being everyone's favorite in terms of communication between the staff and the customers (because of the chat and because they are actively present in there) had a pretty big decline over the past year or so (maybe 2 years?). They launch more bundles than before, but a big part of their fanbase lost their confidence in them (because of unfilled promises and because their older bundles were much better while the new ones seem pretty low effort). Groupees is slowly drifting towards a GoGo level of confidence. They can still save themselves by recruiting someone dedicated enough to put up a nice bundle, at least from time to time. With a bit of effort, they could bounce back up. Confidence lost or not, people still hope.

IndieGala is the most stable store in terms of quality: they keep a constant average quality of games, nice price with a GroupBuy (like with GoGo, I think most of us use GroupBuys). I don't see them affected by the GoGo saga. Yes, they increased their prices (by bundling less games) but their games are still more or less nice. Opinions might differ, but at least they're not trash / all trash. It has also become more difficult to bundle games because the devs are restricted to a 10k keys generation nowadays. The addition of "Steam is learning" makes it even worse, because collectors are less motivated to buy these games considering that they don't give a +1 to their library any more. And let's face it... Steam is NEVER learning.

And Fanatical or Humble Bundle aren't affected, not even a slightly bit. They're on their own island of "let's bundle AAA titles", pretty far from the GoGo world. Sure, they might not meet everyone's expectations, but they're still the best bundle stores. Fanatical has moments of glory (when they launch a really great bundle) but also moments of shame (rebundles of rebundles of rebundles, like Matryoshka dolls), but they're still far from GoGo, or bankruptcy for a matter of fact (judging based on how many sales they still make). Let's not forget Fanatical's new discovery: when in doubt that your profits are high enough, just boost them with a Lootbox bundle! Seems to work so far...

thanks Lilly, so precious from you.

i was shower-thinking, also. do you think we're different, as buyers, from, say, reddit gamedeals ones? i do!
also like, our wish lists are different from typical Steam user ones? what about the +1 syndrome? isn't that a very "SG thing"

(i obviously don't agree only about that DIG part :P don't answer to this mine, Lilly, if you've got no time. that's just me kinda brainstorming myself)
