The store for the full game has been out for a few months and the prologue just now. Before the prologue appeared i didn't know if october was a firm date, but now i seriously doubt it.
If Lugum wants to add "coming soon" games there are a ton more.

I'm not trying to get in a discussion, i just explained why i put the prologue and not the full game. And a Prologue has a different app unlike a demo that you can download in the same app. Why many developers do this? Why Steam lets them? I don't know or care, ask them.

Should episodic games which might never be completed be included? it's neither of us who get to say, it's Lugum's thread.

Also to let you know in case you didn't know. If you want to let Lugum know that, you have to reply to him, this way i got the notifications both times instead.

Demo's aren't my intention, and coming soon could be 2024 for all i know, or perhaps postponed to who knows how long, the list will be too long, and perhaps i stick per year that at the end of the year i might remove the list of 2022.

I don't know much about these prologue games, is the content for all these games the first part of the full game or are they a proper prologue to be played before the actual game and not included in it?

they're demos with a separate store page, that's what I was trying to tell you. somebody started this prologue bullshit and now everybody's doing it, but sometimes when the demo from the store page gets pulled (another shitty practice that shouldn't be happening) the prologue remains, that's something.

Ritter somehow always reminds me of gabriel knight.

If i have to enlist all the adventures from 50000 games, that will be a long list and a lot of work don't you think.

It's about what's heading ahead and we can anticipate. ;) And in my personal opinion Wadjet Eye games are dull.

just when you mentioned because i am looking for point & click gems. wadjet eyes games are mostly desperate, darkish, post apocalyptical and heavy.

Up till 2000-4000 games i knew exactly what i had, what there was, now with 50000 games on steam and 11000 in my own library i lost track, i don't even know what's in my installed games backlog sometimes.

There are still so many games not on steam/gog (and most likely never will) there is a collection called Exodos, you can call it piracy or preservation, they are on some private torrent sites, or on one public site even about archiving..
It consists of pretty much every dos game possible, and there is also a win3x version, but you can filter f.e on all those old adventure games, if you want you can always drop me a message.

The only one that comes to mind are Thimbleweed Park, Unusual Findings and Rock 'n' Roll Will Never Die! (on sale now) and i forgot to add that to the list which i just did.

I saw you added games for 2024 without a release date. i have a big list of games to add if you want.

What's your new criteria? Not the ones many times rescheduled or beyond 2024, but i have a few till end of year, but pretty sure they won't be released soon maybe not even 20024.

Maybe the ones that seems believable to be released in 2024, or that the developer already released other games? Maybe the ones that look really good?

Yeah, that's tough, most predicted for 2024 don't even have a month set, which by now i was hoping some would, saying like atleast the ones january-march or something.

Thanks, added them all, if something doesn't get released, bad luck, can always adjust them when they get postponed later, and in certain games like perfect tides and twilight oracle i trust in because of their previous games.

true. and while I'm famously skeptical, it's not just me. as I said to the other person, just look at their games' forums. the q1 2024 release date for this was set back in 2022, 3 years after the supposed original release date. since then multiple projects have been announced and never released or communicated about. despite the worst voice 'acting' ever in the lost crown (and the ghost aspect, which I'm never fond of), it's a great game, but I've given up on the dev a long time ago.

that remains to be seen. those guys are the masters of not doing anything expect changing release dates when the current one is near. silent night was supposed to have come out in 2019 or something and they've announced a bunch of other games that should've been released by now. a quick look at any of their games' forums paints a pretty grim picture.
