Recommend me a shoot 'em up game

Hey hows it going, hope you guys are good
The thing is that I recently awoke a certain interest in this kind of game, but idk which one start playing, so here am I
Recommend me any
I know they may be a lot out there but here are some "parameters" that would fit better with my playstyle

  • Trading Cards
  • Achievements
  • Is available on Steam or GoG
  • Doesn't matter if it's free to play or if I have to buy it
  • The game is in English, I know many shmups are in Japanese, I don't speak it, so would be nice if they're available in English

I know I can do the research by myself but I want to hear some of your personals experiences with these games, cheers

[EDIT: it's a side scroller, you're looking for more the vertical shmup bullet hell stuff, I imagine... sorry]

Do twin stick shooters count? I recommend Helldivers, Assault Android Cactus, RUINER and Scoregasm. Nex Machina, Jamestown and Crimsonland have been mentioned which are all good.

Some were already mentioned, but you have here nice recommendations

  • Raiden IV: Not literally this one, but when you mentioned it I remembered that previously I saw another game with the same name, thanks to this I find out that it was a saga of games and I found another more interesting, so thanks for posting it
  • JUDGEMENT SILVERSWORD - Resurrection: Another simple shmup, I like it that way
