Two Point Hospital has a free weekend this weekend starting now for 3 days, I played it last time it had a free weekend, it was well worth it, I highly recommend playing it for free!

The list of free to play on Steam this weekend:
Two Point Hospital - Ends in 3 days
Stranger of Sword City - Ends in 2 days
Absolver - Ends in 3 days
Eximius: Seize the Frontline - Ends in 3 days
BOXVR - Ends in 3 days

I have not played any of the other games so if anyone has a recommendation for the other games, let us know.

Play a bit?

Yes, as much as I can!
Will try one or two games for a few hours
No, ain't got time, not even weekends
I'm a potato, what do you expect?

Well, damn, I was interested in BoxVR until I saw the price. I'd be hard pressed to put that one on the same level as Beat Saber. Two Point Hospital is tempting, though. :X

I was meaning more "play some now for free( not buy) because you'll probably never play it again after a few hours!"

Nghh, not sure I would buy the games at those prices.

I got your meaning. :)

I don't have much free time this weekend (except possibly late Sunday), so I'd have to buy it to try it. I've been eyeballing Two Point for a while, so if I do have time, that's what will be getting a trial run from me. Thank you for the thread, though.

Oh, I love Two Point Hospital - spent like 5 hours straight playing it on the first free-to-play weekend and probably will be doing the same this time around :P Hope my saved game is still there!

Absolver and Eximius are probably good too - worth a try :)

Got Absolver in the monthly, but as yet have not tried it. The others aren't genres I'd normally play, though Stranger of Sword Story/Dialogue might be interesting to check out.

I've played a lot of Stranger of Sword City. It's a really good game if you like dungeon crawlers. It has a life point system which I love because it makes you fear letting your party members get killed in battle so it makes you super cautious and really assess whether or not you want to pick that fight or run away. Once your party gets killed you either need a super rare item to revive them or place them in the hospital, making them miss out on battles. Hospital is expensive and losing all your member's life points means perma-death for them.

There's also the risk/reward aspect of ambushing your enemies. You can sort of randomly generate enemies+Loot, but each time you roll for another, you have the chance of both getting really good loot, but also really tough enemies that will demolish at least one of your teammates.

Very convincing! but then I saw jrpg turn based and long completion time. Sounds like a good try for people who don't mind those games, but they feel a bit too long for me to even start.

I wouldn't quite call it a jrpg, because there is hardly any dialogue, but it's more interesting monster lore here. Damn just checked 46 hours to on howlongtobeat. I think if you mastered the strategy of fighting and built up a good team with the right skill combination you could beat it in 15 hours. Just save before you go into a dungeon a lot. Having leveled up my samurai with high evasion is a must. He's like a tank and thief combined. I love planning out character jobs and their stat allocation to maximize their skills. Oh and combined with the Ninja with the right stats. You always feel like you're under-leveled so you sometimes come up with a winning strategy against 1 dungeon making you feel overpowered then the next dungeon brings new enemies.

Oh wow TPH again! I may or may not have binge played it the last time. Appreciate the info. :)

In a slightly unrelated note the Blasphemous demo is also f2p until Sept 1st.

I've played Theme Hospital a long time ago and enjoyed it. Two Point Hospital is more remaster of that one than a new game so I was bored soon enough.
But its really good to try if you love Tycoon series and humor (sometimes its black)

Ah, I remember Theme Hospital but never played it. Yea, TPH levels are different but more of the same on different maps. I did like it because builder-type game, just can't help it!

OMG!

I deleted the data some time ago and I can't download it again because my connection is data capped.

Two Point Hospital is a funny game.

I am very sorry you have a hard data cap? That must be tough. I used to use a program to limit myself to not using too much data( ~300GB) even though I think I was on unlimited because I heard companies put you on "a list" if you're a heavy user. Nowadays, the average usage is probably a lot higher with everyone using HD or 4k streaming and such. First world problems.

Wow, I had no idea so many games were available to play for free this weekend! Thank you for the post!

I tried Two Point Hospital during the previous free weekend and found it... boring. Maybe it's because I didn't have any nostalgia going in as I had never played Theme Hospital, but I just didn't find it fun or interesting, and having to re-build the same rooms each time at a new hospital quickly got tedious.

I did want to give Stranger of Sword City a try, though. It reminds me a bit of Etrian Odyssey, which I loved on 3DS (much to my surprise).
