I admit I've been absent for the last 3 years and just came back, pretty sure I had seen nothing like this back then, so it took me by surprise... Most steam users I believe are kids, I still cannot believe they allowed such content here...
Don't get me wrong, I will get the darn bundle else I will never forgive myself for missing it even-though I have no plans, ever to play it xD

I believe most gamers are not kids. Everyone now under the age of 45 grew up with access to video games at home, so that is potentially if not likely still a hobby to them and even older people. That's an age group of over 25 years between new adults and the oldest players vs 15 years or so from when a child is able to consciously grasp the concept of what's on the screen then until adulthood. Maybe if we could finally let go of the concept that "videogames are for kids" then there wouldn't be much risk of them being exposed to mature content (either sexual or violent) because guardians are making careless assumptions.

Good point. I just found some stats about video gamers and indeed, average age is 34 (read more: https://techjury.net/blog/video-game-demographics/)...
Also, I would not out Violent/Sexual content in the same jar... IMHO the later should still be restricted until a later age... Though, nowadays, easy internet access makes any restrictions pointless...

You can hide 18+ content. It's in the settings. That filter is handy because you can hide "adult only" titles without hiding normal games that may contain a bit of nudity or violence. You pick the level of filtering. You can also use family sharing to give your nephew access.
