93% positive out of ~3.4k reviews. I get that those reviews are like jokes but still game costs only 2 bucks and I can see how you could get an hour of "fun" from this. + achievements have meme pictures I bet some people only buy it for those

It's exactly that. Until some months ago I used to check new releases daily and, now that I'm trying to slowly reabsord the backlog, I keep stumbling in dozens of them (and putting them in ignore so to never see them again).
Their laziness is incredible - some "developers" will just take the same basic puzzle templates, copy and paste descriptions, and put just a different set of pictures to uncover, with the additional gall to sell soundtracks and wallpapers (which seem to be just the uncovered pictures, making "playing" the games even more pointless).

Seems more & more IG bundles are lacking happy hour lately. To be honest it has always seemed like an unnecessarily complicated system and I don't know why they won't just offer bulk discounts the while time.

The number of bundles without happy hour hasn't changed much in a year or two.

What has changed is the frequency and timing of the happy hours: there are fewer per bundle (often only one per bundle instead of the 2-3 that used to be common), and the first one is much later (within the last few days instead of 7/14 days from the end).
