Taken from GM-Site:

Friends, it sometimes happens that a result of over 1,5 years of hard work with almost no day offs could be killed with just one push of a button.

It seems that Steam doesn't like when someone provides a great service. Maybe they got jealous, or maybe they don't like the fact that because of GameMiner a huge amount of people in RU/CIS territories learned about Steam and began to use a legal digital game distribution service. I don't know.

The fact is: today Steam has locked all our accounts. Gift receiving account, gift sending account, account for all those gifts from crates (where most of our profits went). They locked even my personal account.

At the moment we have stopped accepting gifts. Of course we immediately wrote to every possible addresses, trying to reach Valve people including Gaben. We will wait for their response.

But if this is a witch hunt – sadly GameMiner as you know and love it will cease to exist. Next several days will show us what to expect.

It pains us the most that we've already had so much great plans (and we've already invested our profits in them).

Our huge re-design update should have raised our content and usability to an out-of-reach level. Also, we have planned to help indie devs to promote their games or to help them pass greenlight. All this free of charge.
Also we’ve been working with some key stores so they would give away hot releases for you in exchange for some ad space. And so on.

It will be a pity if all our efforts just disappear.

So what now, PB/Gala and SG is next?

Well the site wasn't exactly following Steam's ToS, and it encouraged gambling with real money (crates and the golden giveaways) but I think in some ways it was a very good site, and as someone said before, the only place that allowed region restricted games. They could just have people send gifts directly though, I think just the gambling part would be affected i.e. creates, etc, which in itself is unnecessary. Steam probably makes more money from them buying games to give away in the creates anyway. The black market thing is a different story, but that had nothing to do with the accounts that were banned.

I realy like this site hope the work it out wit the steam bastards, that site have a hell of a great rules not like sg to restrict giving away the thing you won, it has bonuses where you can get a game from the crates, and about the gold the people must earn something from the thing they did i mean like domain hosting and etc is not for free. Just like in real life - big company does something that people like, a smaller one does same thing only just a bit better and the big one want to eat the small...thats how i understand the whole thing

You know, on the second thought (if you like conspiracy theories) this could be pretty awesome way to scam people and to keep gifts for themselves ;)
