Again, if u open-minded style of human being then you are deserve to read the book, cause it contains sensitive contents about 'the origin of all the world's bible', originated from the Archaic Mesopotamian Cuneiform. This book was previously banned. The movie is simple, people are weird but, what weird you describe? Nothing's weird cause we're living in a weird world. The show is mainly about Love. Never neglects love from the one who really love you.

I don't read a lot of books or watch a lot of shows, so anything I can recommend is either already popular or not the greatest thing ever.
Book(s): The Witcher saga, particularly the first collection of short stories. I read them after playing the games, and really quite enjoyed them. Characters are good, plot is mostly interesting, and they are an entertaining read.
Film: Arrival. I've seen a lot of films with aliens, but this one feels really different. There's no shooting or invasion, feels like a more intelligent take on first contact compared to the regular "they've come here to destroy us" trope that most alien films havee in common.
Show: Allo Allo. It's the only show I've seen in the past 10 years apart from The Office. It's an old British sticom with fairly crude humour and straightforward plots and characters, but enjoyable enough if you're into that sort of thing. It was a big thing when I was a kid so revisiting it every now and then is kind of nostalgic.

Watchmen (the book) is, in fact, the best thing ever. (And it seems logical in this case to bend the "1 recommendation" rule to say that the film adaptation and HBO miniseries "sequel" are well worth watching after you read the book.)

Since this thread appeared, I wanted to recommend a book that is both brilliant and very unlikely to have been read by you. Thing is, it's in spanish, and I have no clue as to the quality of the translation. I wanted to make sure it was as good as the original, because a bad translation can easily butcher anything beyond recognition (especially something as good and complex as this) but... I was very busy and couldn't do it.
But time is running out, so I rather go ahead and recommend it anyway. It's "Gracias por el Fuego", by Mario Benedetti. I want to tell you why I recommend it, but I don't want to spoil anything in the off chance that you actually read it. At the very least, I can tell you that it's a beautiful portrait of a place and a time you don't know (unless you were somehow living in Uruguay in the '60s?) and it's so masterfully written as to turn the mundane going-ons of the main character into a truly heartbreaking story.
That is, if the translation is anything like the original (which won't be easy, as there is poetry interspersed, and parts in english written like they were speak in spansih and... well, it's not an easy book to translate). And while the book isn't the most famous by the author (that'll be "La Tregua"), there is a movie adaptation of it. Don't watch it. It's terrible. Stick to the book.
If you read it, let me know what you think. I can promise you'll enjoy it, but I'm positive it'll be different.
P.S.: do watch the show that the previous recommendation mentions. Or better yet, play the game. Steins;Gate is basically the anime version of Back to the Future. It has a slow start, and the science in it is shit, but it's a pretty great story.

World War Z (THE BOOK) by Max Brooks is such an amazing book.
It pains me soo much to see the source material raped and shat on and turned into a generic Zombie flick about Brad Pitt flying around the world doing... (what exactly?) and his wife taking helicopter rides from one aircraft carrier to another to get a massage.

I guess I'll still recommend something, though it's been a while since I've read these, I remember thoroughly enjoying the Leven Thumps book series. And Toradora anime, Taiga best gril.
