Humble's Oddly Familiar Asmodee Digital Bundle strikes again?

View Results
[Tier 1] The same T1 as a year ago with two things missing? I guess bundles suffer price inflation too.
[BTA] A mix of BTA tiers from past years? I guess they didn't have a choice.
[Tier 3] The same T3 content & price as for Halloween – but with Scythe and a few DLCs missing? I guess that's just life.
[Wait4extras] They should at least add some more Ticket to Ride DLCs, and / or a copy of Scythe. Until then, I shall be fasting.
[Have] A Ticket to Yawn, please.
[Skip] If I wanted to play board games, I'd beg some IRL friends to come over.

There has been a few. But it seems that instead of giving more games / being cheaper, they leave games out of it.
I don't own some from tier 3 that look interesting, but the review rates aren't really promising.

Pandemic was purchase disabled in January 2022, so it figures that they don't have it in here. Valve don't want you to keep making money with removed wares, after all.

Scythe seems to me like something they might add in a week to pretend they're being generous, same for other DLC for the 'actual board games'.

Is there a hint somewhere that they will add new games, or we're speculating based on previous bundle's contents? (Doesn't matter much to me, got Scythe like eons ago that I still haven't played)

Just that for Humble Play Pink, The Best of Asmodee Digital they added some stuff later. Which is missing here now.
Ticket to Ride - Switzerland
Ticket to Ride - India

But this is also missing anyway (besides Scythe and whatnot):
Ticket to Ride - UK
Ticket to Ride - Nordic countries
Ticket to Ride - USA 1910

Level 3 seems fine. but I'm sure that the multiplayer of several of those games is dead, I don't think it's worth buying them if you're interested in multiplayer.

It is indeed. The only new things are 2 dlcs for Small world, 1 for Carcassonne, and 2 for Splendor.
In exchange 5 dlcs from Ticket to ride were subtracted, as were 3 dlcs for small world, and Pandemic + 2 dlcs. In essence, same tier 3 price, but worse deal.

Comparisons aside, I see no reason to buy a bundle with so many repeats. Let's hope things will switch up a little in the next one.

A notable point is I think all previous Asmodee bundles have had at least one game or DLC that wasn't in a previous Humble bundle. I could be wrong since I didn't check that carefully and am only considering previous bundles not future ones (i.e. perhaps you got screwed by some bundle since there was a bundle with all that and more in the future).

But this bundle definitely has nothing that wasn't in a previous Humble bundle. Of course some of them were fairly duplicative with only a small amount of new and maybe in high tiers so I think a lot didn't buy all. But the high similarity of this with Play Pink means it's unlikely to be worth it if you got T3 of that. And if you didn't get that, then if it wasn't a didn't notice or no cash or wasn't interested at the time case, same decision likely applies here. One good thing is unlike what I thinks the case for the Killing Floor bundle, at least it's not clear worse if you got it last time (i.e. you didn't get screwed by a future bundle like I mentioned before).

(Looking more I think Play Pink Bundle: The Best of Asmodee Digital was mostly just better than older Humble Asmodee Digital Tabletop 2gether Bundle, maybe this was even noted at the time although at least the older 2gether had a lower T3 whereas this is the same price as Play Pink.)

I agree, board games are more fun IRL as you can add, remove and modify rules

Wow. Nope.
I have nothing against a good party game but none of these are. Not to mention they're all online multiplayer games so you need all your friends to have a copy to play. Nice try IGN but pass.

IGN didn't make the games. They don't all demand online by the way, so better to retract your comment.

Still a pass but thanks for necoing the thread for that.

Neco? It's a cheap deal, and doesn't require online play to enjoy the games, so better not to lie and complain about "IGN" like others who moan no matter the bundle.

Damn, friend. Take a chill pill. You working for Humble or something?
Go bother someone else who has an opinion different than yours. There are dozens in every Humble bundle thread.
Actually feel free to keep ranting, I've added you to my ignore list.

Friend? No. Chill? I just called out your lie, it's not an opinion; I'm relaxed.

Cool, you won't be missed.

Don't want to get into this fight but Adamdoodles is correct that not all of them require you to be online and own more than one copy to play with friends. I know Ticket to Ride (and fairly sure all the DLC) has a pass and play mode which works with Steam in offline mode as I used it before. It's not the most convenient way to play on a laptop or desktop probably better with a tablet and maybe Steam deck but in any case does work.

I assume you can use Remote Play or similar to play Ticket to Ride with multiple devices but that does require some degree of trust and communication so the other players don't see stuff they're not supposed to. And I don't know if any of them allow you to play on multiple computers as proper multiplayer (i.e. other players can't see what they aren't supposed to) with one copy..

I have every last title and DLC on here from previous bundles. Probably previous Humble bundles? I'll pass.

I have most of these except arkham blood rage and the one I would like, game of thrones. GoT is the only one on my wishlist.

Asmodee always lets me down though... great premises to work with and I hope that it comes out, but nope usually is pretty meh or worse.

Edit: the LOTR card game was fun for a bit, but got old after a few hours.
