I Wonder if it's not only a false positive... not all AV detect pop_download as adware. I'll make a full scan of my pc later just in case. The pop_downloader does get a crypted setup file of 7.5gig once you unlock that setup file with the provided code you get the real Ubisoft installer... it's signed with a verisign certificate so it's safe. If you don't trust the downloader then use sandboxie to run the downloader... if it tries to install something non legit it'll be installed on a fake Windows copy that you can wipe in sandboxie.

Hello.
It is a false positive, the file that is being downloaded is a download manager developed by get right to go http://www.getrighttogo.com/.
We use this software in order to distribute video games that does not have a platform or a online DRM aka Steam, Origin etc.
Since prince of Persia is not a DRM free video game and require activation via Tages (DRM).
It was also used by Ubisoft and EA in the past to distribute games before Uplay and Origin came along.
Some antiviruses heuristic algorithm can detect anything that tries to download something on your computer as harmful
Even though it isn’t and doesn’t have any risky behavior.
Here is some reference about which software is more reliable and being maintained properly VS antiviruses has large false positive detection
http://www.av-comparatives.org/false-alarm-tests/
We can assure you that the download is safe and is clean, if it wasn’t clean it would have been detected by more antivuruses than 3 or 4 out of hundreds.
If you would like to test it by yourself you an contact the responsible party of the antivirus software and provide them with the executable for a test they will respond that it is a false positive and will amend it on their next update.
Thanks.

Ok, that clears up the main thing that was a red flag to me in this thread. There is no DRM free PoP, if it's not on a service like Steam, Uplay, etc. it should be Tages.
Thanks for clearing that up.

I am not very pleased with Tages. Do you know if it has an activation limit ?

It's the same site that gave away Fallout 1&2 DRM-free previously, right?

No Steam keys but DRM free game installer of Prince of Persia from GamingDragons
Edit: Due to the comments claiming such site is a shady and unauthorized reseller of keys and since I am at moment unable to verify if their installer is safe or not I feel better not spreading the news by now.
Leaving the thread open for those who want to check it out (and find the offer by themselves) at their own risk and want to report any good or bad result.
