Full post:

For the past few years, we have worked on expanding Steam beyond games and software by building a video platform that supports paid and free video content. In reviewing what Steam users actually watch, it became clear we should focus our effort on offering content that is either directly related to gaming or, is accessory content for games or software sold on Steam.

As part of this refocus, we have retired the Video section of the Steam Store menu with an expectation that video content is discovered via the associated game or software store page, or through search, user tags, recommendations, etc.

Over the coming weeks a number of non-gaming videos will be retired and will no longer be available for purchase. Previously purchased content will remain available to owners.

I don't think I've watched a single video on Steam.

If it's video game related, it will stay. So the two videos you listed should be staying. Everything that's non-gaming related will be removed.

Already bought "Men with beards" on day one, so I don't care anymore.

It's available on many platforms besides Steam, so not an issue if you're really interested in seeing it. I mean, it's not the best documentary ever and it's a bit funny and weird, but I'd say worth watching.

Yeah, I just looked it up myself. It seems a funny thing to watch. Steam would have given me the advantage of its wallet ;)

No interest in buying digital videos unless they DRM free copies that can be downloaded are included, and afaik Steam only let you stream what you paid for.

Most of the stuff was more expensive than buying the DVD anyways.

Could´nt use it as much as i´d wanted to since most of the stuff was´nt available for germany, or cut.
But the one movie i actually got is fine (understatement) and i´m glad they don´t make me return some videotapes :p

It fails but they never really tried, I kinda liked the idea of buying movies as opposed to Netflix.

Hmmmm, so before all this stuff disappears, is there a list somewhere of any that might be worth buying? Or do we just sort by price and buy the cheap crap? :)

Hmmm, thank you but it seems I missed my chance for that one, no price... :( Seems I'll need to hurry before the whole thing's gone... :(

I already got the videos I want but guess I'll never see nekopara ova. For £24 its way to much for 1 hour content

Just imagine the panic here, if you had left out two words in the heading:

The what?

CR won't be seeing any money from me anytime soon (and I'm leeching of a friend's Netflix account) so Steam's video section was the only way for me to throw some money at an anime production (excluding the occasional merch and BD once every half a year). Really disappointing.

I remember it coming out and being good for about a week then they put no effort into it at all. Shame because they had a half decent anime selection.

Figured I ought to buy some before they disappear... :)

Hope I can figure out how to watch them before some random update breaks everything and Valve can't remember how to fix it...
