So, I've been Xbox360 owner, but over past 2 years I haven't played with it because I managed to get a proper PC. Lately I've felt trying out some exclusives on what PlayStation has to offer, but not sure if it is really worth it.

What do you guys think? If some of you own PS4, was it really worth it?

Edit: Uh-oh. I made quite an uproar. It seems like saving money is somewhat in favor.

If you find that one game you'd love, it's worth it. I now have over 200 hours in Guitar Hero Live, not to mention some of the other non-PC games so I'm very happy with my purchase.

yep, saving money for pc is better, comparing hardware lot of ps4 games dont run is good is pc.
example: naruto ultimate ninja storm 4, laggy is hell on ps4. works below requirements on pc with no lag.
so unless u are interested in some exclusive dont bother with it. because most of them are getting ported now ( like disgaea series )

If you feel like the price is worth for the exclusives, go for it. Don't listen to the usual PCmasterrace bullshit. Last time I checked, console exclusives were exclusives to consoles. But otherwise, the consoles are sub-par to a better (not superexpensive, state of art) PC. So consider the exclusives. Plus I don't remember exactly what happened at E3, but there was something about PS4 as hadware. Look into it, I think they plan to have a stronger, PS4.5 ? version - either it will be stronger and better but worth the extra money, or it will push down PS4's price at a certain degree. Maybe it's worth waiting for something to happen around Sony first.

Glad to see rational post here. And the PS4.5 is called PS4 Neo. It's going to be a bit stronger in hardware terms, but it's unclear how it will affect games. It will also have 4K compability for films, but getting 4K TV is 4x more expensive xD.

All in all, I agree that waiting for Neo is best because standard PS4 will drop in price. The urge to get console might even run out by then :D

Depend on what exclusives you are interested in.

I'm waiting for the Neo and by then, The Last Guardian would be out.

If you have a proper PC, I wouldn't buy it just yet. Buy it when the PS5 is released, then both the console and the exclusives with be really cheap

Well, I've been thinking of buying one since I never had a ps3 and I wanna play the Uncharted series + Last of Us, and of course there is Bloodborne and as a Souls fan I definitely wanna play that. I think there a few other titles that I am forgetting now...yeah, there is Journey and the new Persona game, pretty much only interested in the ps exclusives, if a game is on pc I play it there. Overall, I think, especially if one did not own a ps3, a ps4 might be worth it, there are some pretty good exclusives on it, a shame about the poor performance on some of them...

However since I heard the rumors of the ps4 neo I decided to wait until that is announced and see if that offers enough of a peformance boost or not.

I use my PS4 for offline single player exclusives and a media player. Bloodborne, Uncharted and The Last of Us is worth it alone! I'm hoping Red Dead comes out soon for it because I've been dying to see what it's like!

I bought one a few weeks ago for 190€. For me, at this price, its worth it for the few exclusives (just finished Uncharted 4 and was so very awesome! ^^). I have a descent gaming-PC so there aren´t a lot of games I couldn´t already play, so it basicly comes down to what the exclusive games are worth to you..

I also sometimes enjoy playing the PS4-Games in my Vita, so thats a nice bonus if you own one of these.

PS4 is probably the best console for exclusives, followed by the WiiU that launches one ever blue moon. As other have mentioned there is a 4.5 coming out so it is best to wait till it does before taking the plunge. The system's library is starting to reach the point where I'm happy with it, but it has been slow going. However, they have a bunch of games lined up that should really beef up their library.

If you really want to play a console, I would recommend getting a PS3. Still has one of the best libraries ever imo and the frequent sales on PSN make the games for it extremely cheap to get. Otherwise wait a bit for Neo and play the L:ast of Us Remastered asap :P.

Got it, played it for a few months and now I rarely play it anymore. I was a big PS2 and PS3 user, but pc is better than any console. Console feels.. limited. My laptop is not great on playing on high end games, so If its available on Ps4, then I play it on that.

Compared to the One, then yes. Compared to a PC, nope.

One exclusive for the ps2 that was quite good was Killzone. I believe they made a follow up or one for the ps3 also. But i dont know whether they continued the series to the ps4 yet. Just a recommendation in case they did.
