I often see quite... disingenous comments around Mystery bundles, but also Fanatical's "premium" ones, from people apparently stuck in time-locked bubbles where it's still the first time Fanatical is doing those, and not for several years at this point.
If they keep doing them, it's clear they work out for them. Same reason for why "traditional" bundles are now rare from them (mostly charity onews) and their main model has shifted to the Build Your Own Bundle.
That said, Humble could have taken that as an example, and not the Mystery. Hoping it's an isolated case and not some new "feature".

That tier 1 is an absolute insult. $5 for a mystery game. The bundle as a whole isn't too bad I don't think but I already own what I'm interested in.

Not my kind of games. But even if I liked and wanted all of the games, I wouldn't buy the bundle. The more people buy these kind of bundles, the more likely is, that they will repeat them more and more often.
This (possible) trend has to be stopped before it begins.
Besides that: Mystery bundles aren't allowed in germany. Let's see when they block these bundles there...

Bought Bundle in Georgia. Tails Noir Preludes has RU/CIS region lock warning on gift link creation. Other games have no warning.

I have almost all games from rat pack now, only missing the cheese one. So if someone wants to test their key to see which one they got but without using the key themselves, I will be able to help soon I hope! When I get that last one I'll update this comment and offer my services of free key testing for all.

man... i was really thinking of doing this bundle at first glance since i've been meaning to buy trash goblin and the highest tier is the same price as the game on sale, give or take some change - but that tier 1 thing is gross. you seriously can't see the key til you redeem it?? i grew up on redwall books so that would be a fun win but 1:4 chance of ending up with the game i actually want and not being able to post it for a giveaway if it's the other three... ehhh.

I bought the bundle in Australia and tried to trade Tails Noir Preludes but it was region locked in their country India. So it's probably one of these subs:

What if it says "This key is not available in the countries listed below" and list about a hundred, but there's only one sub on steamdb? For example: https://steamdb.info/app/1404850/subs/

It can either mean no one has submitted that sub to SteamDB yet, so it's not aware of it existing, or that Humble messed up the regional warning (it's done that a few times before, saying a key will not work somewhere, when it does.)
For now I'd wait and see if people report the subs for that bundle. Maybe it'll be region free, who knows. :)

I think I got lucky with the Rat Pack and got the "The Lost Legends of Redwall: The Scout Anthology" game.
They are definitely testing the waters for more mystery-like bundles, this is just the beginning.
Seeing how successful fanatical Mystery "gambling" bundles are, I think we can only blame ourselves for this outcome.

Damn, finally got around to checking this bundle, and I thought it was decent, but that first tier is terrible. If it was all of them, sure, but not one, especially when I own Tanuki already. With it like that, I'd only be buying for Brew. Which is better off waiting for a sale. Well, saves me money.
Humble, hope you don't plan to do more of these. It has driven off customers.
