Is Elder Scrolls online a good start for a beginner mmorpg player? [lvl 1]

Played it around 700 hours or something like that, loved it, didnt buy Morrowind expansion when it came out and after several months of playing I stopped

I never played any Elder Scrolls games except for a little bit of Morrowind for the regular Xbox back in the day. I ended up trying Elder Scrolls Online during a free weekend on Steam back in November and I ended up buying it. I've played a lot of MMORPGs and as well as other MMOs and Elder Scrolls is a really solid MMORPG. If you are considering getting the game now would be the time to do so as $10 is a good price for the base game and the first expansion. There's tons to do with the base and the first expansion alone. If you do plan on playing it a lot then grabbing the new Summerset expansion also would be worth it as well.

Besides the 2 major expansions there's also other DLC for even more things to do. Clockwork City, Thieves Guild, Shadows of the Hist, Imperial City, Horns of the Reach, Dark Brotherhood, Dragon Bones and Orsinium.

There is a VIP status that you can sub to for $15 a month if you wanted to. The DLC I mentioned you have the option to buy individually but all of those are included with VIP. You also get unlimited storage for crafting, 1500 crowns each month which is their store currency which you can buy mounts, pets, cosmetics and a bunch of other stuff, double bank space, 10% increase to gold and experience, 10% increase on crafting inspiration and trait research rates, double space for furniture in housing, you can dye costumes and you get double the currency cap for Transmutation Crystals.

I've never gotten VIP before and I've enjoyed the game without it. It really is a solid game and worth picking up.

World of Warcraft is definitely a good choice if you are looking for something else. Blizzard just really stepped it up and if you sub for $15 you get all all the expansions except for the newest one. $50 if you wanted to buy the new expansion.

Guild Wars 2 and Final Fantasy XIV are really solid options as well.

ESO is great! I spent more than 1000 hours on it but i believe it is not begginer friendly.
You should check Guild Wars 2. It is free (base game, you must buy the expansions) and i think that it is very beginer friendly.

I'm not into MMO (or any multiplayer games for that matter) but I keep coming back to ESO. As others have said it's the most single-player MMO and you can do most of it without ever needing to team up with anyone.

At almost 400 hours in, I'm still finding quests I have missed and location I have yet to discover.
