Well I could hardly blame Ubisoft for it - we always get only the base editions of games in Choice. Publishers obviously do that in order to get some people to buy dlc down the line.

Headliners aren't really doing it for me.
I do not like open world survival craft games for the most part so Return to Moria is out, I suck at stealth games so much I tend to not enjoy them to much unless going guns... or swords/axes/etc... blazing isn't overly punishing.... add in that HLTB time for valhalla has me questioning it... might redeem might not.
as for Daemon X Machina... its my kind of game... but that review average has me questioning if I want it
had 3 wishlists among the other 5(with Until then being up there... and I kept passing on Planet of Lana knowing it was going to be in choice eventually), Artisan TD looks like it might be nice as a casual TD enjoyer... and buddy sim... well its a short game so i might not regret redeeming it.

If anything the HLTB times on valhalla are a bit low once you factor in the DLC as well. I guess maybe if you focussed on the collectibles from the word go and played on easy, it would take less time, but it's a big game for sure. I enjoyed it, but by the end I was glad to see the back of it.

I think the fact that they game was already pretty old when it finally released on Steam has probably caused a very poor return on Steam so maybe Ubisoft is trying to get some interest going for their Steam portfolio.
If they managed to get the "Steam Warriors" to play this one, maybe they'll get them to buy more recent ones like Shadows as well.
But to answer your question, no it has never happened before.

I think they have seen disappointing sales of Pandora and Shadows on Steam so they are trying to get some attention with this.

Daemon X Machina is the only game that redeems the bundle a bit. Rest is trash. You're better off buying the complete edition of AC Valhalla on steam and I'm only missing 3 other games that don't interest me much. Review score doesn't always represent value. Many of the non-headliners are repeats. If you were to try to buy any of them off of someone, DxM has the most value. It's harder to get rid of the repeats. So yeah, value wise most of them are trash.

Yeah Ubisoft DLC never ever go on sale or if they do, only with really small discounts. You're better off getting the complete version for the price of the bundle.
