Buy?
Each game has so much gametime to offer, that nobody will be able to make use of all three before the next - better - sale arrives.
Looks like it's better to buy only one game (BG2) and see if one enjoys it
Edit: Oh... they don't have them for sale seperately this time.... bought 1+2 for 6-7$ each some weeks ago at BS

Ah on GOG.
Well as someone who has thrown so many hours into beating the Baldurs Gate Trilogy multiple times with high difficutly settings, I'm happy that it now finally gives achievements for doing so. :>
Although I'm not sure, if I'll really play through it again.... XD

Such an awesome deal for all that. If I had the money I'd buy it.

The Baldurs saga its pretty good if you like the genre, you can literally replay it with different chars and you will always discover something that you passed by on another run without noticed, but again, too expensive for really old games (the remastered its meh)

So... this is expensive that way because gameplay? I thought it was more because nostalgia...
I didn't know the bright of these series... to be honest I never met someone who likes this RPG style. :O

cRPG used to be one of the most popular genres around the turn of the millennium. When point 'n' clicks started to fade but when consoles didn't made dungeon crawlers and TPS games the industry standard. They offered actual roleplaying, where player choices mattered or the story was the main focus, not just simple looting and minmaxing, like in RPGs before them (or after them, after the Diablo types too over, including dumbing down Baldur's Gate on console to a simple looting hack & slash as well).
Baldur's Gate is an icon of this era. Not necessarily the best game of the pack (that is a contest among Deus Ex 1, Planescape: Torment, Fallout 2, Wizardry 8, and Ultima VII), but the sheer replay amount and the characters made it the most popular among the genre fans. They were good enough to keep a modding community still around; this year a mod that I have been waiting for over 13 years has finally finished. =)

missing Icewind Dale & the DLC, but not for this price

Gah, still too expensive. I really want to play all three, but not at that price tag :3
In all fairness though, I've heard nothing but extraordinary things about them. So. for three amazing games, 18 bucks aint too bad. :)
