I always pause early. When they were dropping coupons I used to get it every time as well.
I think that for the last months no one actually got the coupon.
So I really doubt it has anything to do with how early or late you pause. As long as you are paused or cancelled you could get it.

I think there can also be one time offers through email. So it is good to check both in profile and in email. But I have never received a coupon if others havent. So if you follow these threads and see others are receiving the coupon, it should probably drop for you as well.
It could probably happen that someone does not receive a coupon as well, but its not something I am much aware of happening. But you cant be an active subscriber to receive it. You must be paused or cancelled. Some people claim cancelling is better, but I really havent noticed many cases where those who cancelled have gotten more coupons then those who pause. There are some new subscriber deals that those who pause dont get but havent seen much of those lately.
edit: No, its not just at the moment of cancelling. Humble used to do that - they gave you discount the moment you cancel, but they dont do that anymore. Your have to be paused or cancelled. And then they can decide at some arbitrary time to drop coupons. Usually near the new bundle reveal i sales have been slow (probably)

The coupons may well have dried up because of all the "I'll wait for a coupon" posts trying to circumvent the regular monthly price. If that becomes the default behavior, they'll simply stop handing them out. They're meant to be a last-ditch incentive to bring subscribers back, not a "permanent" discount.
Personally, I think there's still good value to be had even at the regular price, especially considering how much bundles in general have declined in quality while becoming much more expensive.

eh, this month maybe the only few games I would play is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and dead cells, and honestly, I would rather keep like a dragon into ashes until I played all the previous ones; meanwhile for dead cells, yeah it is interesting game though.

I recently bought Infinite Wealth, so no surprise that it came to Choice. I also began playing Dead Cells again recently, that one is a bigger surprise considering its age.
From the rest I only have Conquest Dark and TMNT wishlisted. No idea if that's enough to buy.
