Please invest in a good antivirus, mostly to prevent intrusion attacks and ransomware. I use Bitdefender a lot and am surprised how many of these attacks it has caught.
Windows defender is more of a passive antivirus, similar to Avast and other free virus software out there
Also every month or more, run a software like Norton Power eraser and do a full scan of your PC

So I just upgraded my OS from Windows 7 to 10. Is having an anti virus necessary? Or will Windows 10 help prevent viruses?
I have avast free installed right now.
