For those who don't like Epic Games, the EGS and don't want to support them, just remember even if you get it for free on the Epic Games Store you are still supporting Epic Games, their client and the devs and publisher who put it on that storefront.

If people want to dislike them, then that's okay, they are entitled to their opinion. I just don't get the whole "I hate Epic, I won't support them!" and then they go get the free game, it's hypocritical.

The thing is, in the title it wasnt disclosed as epic, this is "steamgifts". Its assumed its going to be for Steam but upon entering...you findout its not, wich is why other deals disclose the platform the deal is taking place in the title aswell.

I can understand that, the OP definitely should list it's for Epic in the title. Hopefully when they come back online they'll do that.

You forgot to put [EPIC] in the titleI mean, this is "STEAMgifts" so we all do use steam and is the main platform; any other platform needs to be discloed separately. Thanks for the heads up tho.

Of course it's not in the guidelines, but he does have a point. Most people who come to the thread for a free game will think it's for Steam unless it's otherwise stated in the title. Overall adding it to the title it's more of a courtesy.

Yes, while it isnt in the guidelines, its "courtesy", there is a reason why others had implemented such titles. Perpahs precisely to avoid this flood of comments of "booo is Epic, down with Epic, Epic sucks!". For example, if this topic had [EPIC] in the title, I wouldnt even be here and manny others wouldn't...but Im here, read the comments and come to realize WHY people put the name of the platform upfront.
And the comments would be from users who actually are interested on this deal; or even better, peraphs would like to start a discussion. Like happend some comments ago, about a reboot and epic exclusive. I had no idea of that until this discussion.

That is pretty sad; I dont like Epic or their practices, complain for monopoly while building a monopoly themselfs. Yet I just simply ignore the EPIC title threads, if others like the platforms and the freebies, power to them. At the end of the day, we are all gamers; and no matter where or what we play, there is a bond that connect us all and we should understand each other.
