Are these the Halloween horrors you were waiting for?
shame the timing of the inclusion of LOF2. Observer Redux or some other game might have been better?
Comment has been collapsed.
I mean, Observer Redux hasn't even come out yet and will be treated as a $30 new title by their publisher.

Same. I'm sad that I wasn't fast enough and paid almost 11 usd after a refresh but I still think it was worth it

well Layers of Fear 2 will be free on Epic so that is a downer

Who gives a shit, steam is the only platform that matters. Epic shouldn't be supported because of their anti-consumer bullshit like exclusivity deals and other bullshit they do that I'm not even gonna bother bringing up or discussing. Not to mention they are inferior to Steam anyway.
Comment has been collapsed.
I do.
Epic will never get my money, because I don't like the way they bribe(d) devs/publishers into exclusivity deals, but I will certainly grab the interesting freebies they are willing to offer. It's not like you have to use your real information to set up an account anyway...
You are obviously entitled to your own opinion...
Who gives a shit, steam is the only platform that matters.
... but that kind of fanboy-ish comment is really cringe.
Comment has been collapsed.
Even taking freebies from them doesn't feel right. Not that I judge anyone who does that though.
Cringe or not I stand by what I said. Steam is just so superior compared to any other platform that others can't even compete. And since I dislike having multiple game launchers and split game libraries obviously aiming to have everything on Steam is the way to go (with few exceptions here and there for some online games).

Where are you gonna go when Steam does something that you don't like? You know is a for-profit company, not your pals. Why don't you feel enraged when they won't do the exclusivity thing to assure their fans get the games first? Why don't you feel indignation when you know about the big cut they take from indie developers selling on their platform? Some developers prefer economic security for their efforts better than to compete with 1000's of games on Steam... Do you think they consider Epic as the villain? Anyway, it's only a year of exclusivity for the big titles. Who cares? Most people here have huge collections that would require non-stop gaming for 20 years or more to play and finish all their games.
Anyway, this bundle looks a little pricey for my liking. I'll pass.

Where are you gonna go when Steam does something that you don't like?
I don't think they'll do anything that I would dislike so much to abandon the platform. They already made some changes I'm not too fond of and have areas where they need to improve, but even with those flaws they're still the best.
Why don't you feel enraged when they won't do the exclusivity thing to assure their fans get the games first?
Because exclusivity deals are anti-consumer and I'm glad Steam isn't resorting to something like that.
Why don't you feel indignation when you know about the big cut they take from indie developers selling on their platform?
While the 30% cut is high when the game is bought directly on Steam they don't take a cut at all when developers sell steam keys for their game on their website or third party stores, including bundles. So that's something that's worth keeping in mind.

Games that are given (of will be given) for free on other plattforms does slightly effect its value in a bundle, if you have your fair share in black market trading you'd understand this. I don't like Tim Scummy either, but don't let your emotion invalidate other people's input in the matter. Some people will think less of a bundle if they can get it for free or cheaper on other platforms whether you like it or not, get over it.

Distraint 2, Detention, DARQ, DUSK... Humble "D is cool" bundle.
However, what bad timing to have Layers of Fear 2 in T3 just two days before it's given for free on Epic Store! Also, two games of the bundle are multiplayer (and one is T3 too).
Since in 9 days there's the Halloween Steam Sale, I may wait till about the last minute before deciding.

I'm not saying they are shit, afterall I haven't played any but I honestly don't see the appeal with all those first person, horror walking simulators π€ It often seems like there's a dozen new ones of those popping up every month. I know this is not a new one.
Comment has been collapsed.
don't forget Layers of Fear 2 will be free in about 2 days, so if you think T3 is still worth despite that, sure
Comment has been collapsed.
Actually free but on Epic just in case that's relevant to you.

yeah, upon seeing other comments, I realised it wasn't Steam. Have yet to use EGS, and they stole Rocket League from me (Steam users now need an Epic account to play it, at all - can't even access local-play without an account), so I'm not about to start supporting them.
Comment has been collapsed.
You're not missing out on much. One of my closest buddies who plays Rocket League regularly says he's had more connection issues since Epic took over than in all the time since launch combined. PS+ users got Rocket League for free on Day 1 He also claims the cars look somewhat different now without being able to say what exactly is wrong.

it has always run shittier on PS4 unfortunately
Really? I played 20 - 30 hours after release until I realized my game just wasn't up to the task and I never noticed but I've never played on PC neither so obviously I can't compare the two versions.
But then again I was never one of those people who have problems with 30fps if it's stable 30 but I've heard from many people low framerates make them dizzy.
Edit: But at least while it still runs on their servers you don't need to make an Epic account to play it on PS4 AFAIK. At least my buddy never mentioned anything about it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Maybe not SP (I used PC for online play) but in local MP, the PS4 it starts getting artifacts - especially noticeable with the nametags above vehicles.
Re: EPIC - nope, the update links you to EPIC with your PSN account - it's not as blatant as the Steam one, where you have to create an account from scratch.
Comment has been collapsed.
That makes sense. While I did play a lot with my buddies in those 20 - 30 hours we never played splitscreen.
Sadly those days when one of them would pack up their 360 and they'd come over to my place and we'd play BL2 or other stuff over System link for whole nights are a thing of the past now, even before Corona.
The transition to PS4 put an end to that because it no longer supported SCART cable and I only had one television with HDMI outlet.
Yeah, I prefer that "automatic link in the background without you even noticing" system on PS4 because it's lets you play games like Warframe or Neverwinter (or Rockstar launcher games) without having to set up a new account for every game even when you're not sure if you're gonna stick with it.

yeah I don't judge or force anyone to believe anything but I'm not against taking the free games from Epic

Probably great for horror fans but man, I want games to make me happy, not scare me. :(
(If anyone wants to read a spooky VN though, How To Date A Magical Girl from recent Fanatical Anime Tales 2 bundle is a surprisingly good novel, I just finished it)

Why are they banning people for giving away the keys. Afaik keys are my own property. Games are licensed, but when I buy a key it belongs to me. I have my own right to use it however I like. Especially if I already got the game. What are they, crazy? They are literally earning money JUST BECAUSE people are buying bundles to give them away.
Comment has been collapsed.
Did you have two threads open and accidently posted in the wrong one or just seeing this warning for the first time? I'm not saying it's bad... just curious.
Short answer: From their perspective gifting is ment for personal (real-life) friends and family.
Comment has been collapsed.
What? it's literally written here. That's why I mentioned this.
Also I don't care what they call gifting. I have full right to gift my shoes to someone living 2 continents further than mine. As well as I have the same right giving people keys I don't want.
However I stopped giving keys away, as this site is pretty much aggressive towards anyone who isn't ultra rich and if You are not giving away keys worth hundreds or thousands dollars, You are definitely egoistic and stingy.
I give some keys to my sister or her friends sometimes, though.
But the key is my property, game that the key activates isn't. So, it's pretty unfair. And literally they lose money prohibiting this. Especially that great chunk of people who buy bundles are those who buy to give it away. And if they ban them, not only they won't buy bundles for others... they won't buy bundles for themselves either. This doesn't even make sense.
Or do they think, people who win games from bundled giveaway would buy the game themselves? They wouldn't.

But the key is my property...
It would make more sense to tell that to Humble. Telling it to me won't do any good. I was just answering your question.
Are you talking from a moral standpoint or from a legal standpoint based on Japanese law. Because here in the EU you can actually tell them that when they try to pull any bullshit and are backed by customer protecton laws.
Comment has been collapsed.
Sorry for the late reply.
I think both. I never heard of law that makes the key itself not my property. Is it like that in Japan? This is horrible.
Comment has been collapsed.
Is it like that in Japan?
I'm afraid I have no idea about the legal situation regarding reselling and trading Steam or other activation codes in Japan.

Well, it's still very much a possibility: this month's Choice has two titles that were in July's weekly Daedalic bundle (Iron Danger and Rachel Foster). Titles from a weekly may appear in later monthlies.
