When I see your comment I wondered if Kalypso did the same thing they did with Tropico 4. (When Tropico 4 first launched there was no launcher and later they even made it requires an account. They pulled the account requirement though but the launcher is still there.)
Omerta always had the launcher but creating an account was not needed. Just checked, it still has launcher and the launcher updates itself but account is still not needed.

(That doesn't change the fact that the whole bundle is not worthy more than $1 though.)

Hmm, it probably said that because the Steam page has "3rd party DRM" warning. Maybe because of the launcher. Some of the old Kalypso games still need an account by the way, such as Dungeons 1, Patrician 4 etc.

Basically just renamed the Gold edition to "bundle". Gold edition still sounds fancier.
