Potentially more, emails are being sent around (Groupees does have its own publishing greenlight section now) but I cant promise anything.

If it also helps, the bonus game I have lined up is on Greenlight :)

Alright fair enough. :) Oh well, adventure, point & click, puzzle, platformer are always nice. So I'll hope they'll eventually go on greenlight and we'll in the future get keys (one can always hope, it happened before). So I think I'll pre-order it. :)

May I ask? Are you at least obligating them, contractually, to provide Steam keys, if they ever end up on Steam? This seems like a potential issue creator, long term. Virtually no one will buy this to actually play them on Itch.io, but most will just buy it hoping that someday the games happen to pop up on Steam. Basically it will be seen as a Greenlight bundle, with less promise for the games actually showing up on Steam.

Most developers will just give keys, if they end up on Steam. Still, without the contractual obligation, there will be at least one that will pull the old, "We weren't on Greenlight at the time, at the time, and it doesn't state a Steam key anywhere," move. I personally would want every game promised to provide Steam keys, from day one. That is just your target audience. I'll still buy it, either way, but I'll never use Itch.io, just like I never once used Desura.

I will say its in the contract that's used across groupees that if they release on steam that they should be providing steam keys to purchasers. I cant really go into any more detail than that other that when games do release that have featured on Groupees without a greenlight campaign up, we do try and convince whoever is releasing that providing keys for previous purchasers is better PR-wise and such than not doing so.

Thanks for the reply. It gives me a bit more faith, though I have seen quite a few instances, lately, of this backfiring. The ones trying to do it themselves and then, of course, that Princess Edge game where they said they would, then Groupees told them the total, and they were like screw the customers.

It's unfortunate that this still happens in 2016, with every developer knowing how popular the platform is.
