Given that Tropico 4's collector edition was previously on Fanatical for $2 and then $1, this is definitely a huge price increase on that, given the BTA/tier 3 placement. Nevermind putting the previously-free base game into BTA. I mean, if you're going to split it up into compontent DLCs anyway, may as well keep the base game at Tier 1..

Fantatical also had the complete version of Tropico 5 for 8.99 (ITAD also notes 4.75 on WinGameStore), and Tropico 3 has also had a bunch of $1/$2 offerings on Fanatical (as well as being previously free, available for .85c on other sites, or being included with its one [also previously bundled and free?] DLC for 1.49), so really, this entire bundle seems to be slightly (or much, if you go off lowest pricing) higher in price than all the previous collections combined, while- near as I can tell- not actually offering the complete collections (it's missing a majority of Tropico 5 DLCs and what appears to be 4 Tropico 4 DLCs.).

So this is less a bundle in the traditional sense, and more a repackaging of previously discounted games, at a higher pricing and with less content. Enticing, no? Anyway, those interested may wanna just wait until the games go on sale again on Fanatical (or WinGameStore / etc), as they seem to do so fairly regularly.

I seem to recall Fanatical having Tropico 5 Complete Star deal long ago once for ~$5, I passed on it thinking HB might bundle it and have sort of regretted it - I do want to "complete my collection". 6 is out now though and it seems not to have missed anything to skip 5 anyways.

Tropico 5 as usual lacks the Steam-exclusive* Isla de Vapor DLC.

Tropico 4: Voodoo and the 5 Tropico 5 DLCs are store subs; the rest are retail key subs. Besides the T5 base game, nothing has any interesting differences, and there are no region locks for this bundle.

I might try to win/get some of them from group splits, always wanted to try a real strategy game to see if I would like it and Tropico is best/oldest to go by. :)

Can someone tell me would a Strategy game be boring for someone who enjoys point n click, exploration adventure games & action adventure games? How much do you actually need to manage & build & how fast would you get bored? If yes which one is best to try to get into? Tropico 4/5?... I enjoy stuff like Planet Coaster, for example, where there is actual close up gameplay once you build stuff. I also loooved playing the movies game way back in the day as a kid :) Is that the case in Tropico??

And lol the poll, I just listened to this song today, came up on an ad in movie, so I found it, what a freaking coincidence! πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹

You might
Planet Zoo is a zoo builder and Tropico is a city builder.
City Skylines might be another you might be interested in.

Wow thx, completely forgot about Planet Zoo. I love that one but don't have it or Planet Coaster yet (watched gameplays of both Planet Coaster and Zoo though... Here's a Hilarious /Good one of Planet Zoo.

Do you have any more suggestions for me? :)

BTW I didn't get what you meant with "You might"?... I might get bored or I might enjoy Tropico??? :)
I don't particularly like City Skylines. It's a modern day Tropico with Tropico being a superior longrunning game series. I crossed that one of my list straight away. I'd love to get into Tropico, I love tropical/ island/ vacation/ sea games a lot and enjoy history too and studied it and know it well.
Tropical themed Island + Dictatorship = Perfect intriguing pulling game experience.

Just answer pls which one would be best to try first... And if Tropico has gemaplay close up mechanics like Planet Coaster/Zoo?
That would impact greatly my enjoyment of it. I have only Tropico 3. Should I give that one a go or try 4 or 5 first if I can get them?...

I think I tried Tropico 1 as a kid, not quite sure, have a blurry distant memory of some sort (don't know if I am making it up or actually played it). I'm not sure I enjoyed it though att but I was a kid & that was Tropico 1. I played lots of games as a kid and only years later found out which ones they were. I had an old Amiga first giftedvto me that didn't really have game titles on discs, and later old Computer with still limited or no internet until I was 14-15. The only games I actually knew I played att where The Sims 1, Neighbours from Hell, Alladin, 101 Dalmatian, Scooby Zoo Adventure games and as previously mentioned The Movies. I might be forgetting some, but oh well. :)

The Tropico games are really good. I don't think you would be bored by one, maybe you'll enjoy it even more since it's a different genre. You can change the game speed (and pause the game) so it won't be too fast. Too slow... maybe, I guess (but I think that mostly happens if either one knows everything or have 0 clue what one's doing).

How long does it take to get bored? It depends. Technically "you do the same thing everytime", you need to satisfy the needs of the people. Well, technically you don't HAVE TO but it is advised. Of course you can do that in multiple ways, and if you're doing the missions it encourages you to do things differently. The games have nice atmosphere, pleasant music and voice acting.

I think you should give them a try, I would suggest 4 (just because I haven't played 5 and 6 and the DLCs for 4 are cheaper and more accessible).
