historical minimum price, but it seems to me that it is the biggest discount since it was made available again. Maybe it will go down more in the summer sales.

EA sports to the game.

For info, one can play the game with PC Game Pass, because EA Play is included in GP. I have tried the game yesterday using this set-up and it was pretty convincing! The atmosphere is so unsettling and weird that there is a charm to the story and characters! I will get it on Steam down the line, because the game is long (~ 14 hours) and aged well. Crossing fingers for a better discount during summer sales.

Well, apparently the game is gone on Steam again. But it seems to still be on sale on Origin.

From what I understand they removed it because people were taking advantage of a bug that allowed them to buy the game, get an origin key and return the game.

Hopefully they just fix the bug and return to steam.

What the... the same thing happened with the EA Play titles when it was purchasable on Steam. Its actually amazing how they could fail twice in the very same way, without taking precautions the second time.

Same goes for Dragon Age Origins (not the Ultimate Edition), i noticed it yesterday when i see that my trading cards for DAO was NOT MARKETABLES =?

Dragon Age Orgins and Dragon Age Origins Ultimate are separated APPIDs, on steam and on origin, the only one that drop cards and has a CD KEY (for Origin) is/was the normal DAO.

I was battling myself to get it or not and eventually I did. I'm really sorry for those who didn't get their hands or it or questioned if they should get it right away or not. I think EA tried an experiment or something. Made a few quick bucks and left.

Could be licensing as Grimm is still available on GOG.

It seems when something is "still on GOG", it's because publishers don't pay much attention to GOG as they do Steam so things get forgotten and taken down later.

Oh, not sure if that's better or worse for our chances of the game coming back.
Now I'm feeling like an idiot for not buying it for 60% off, I legit thought that waiting a bit longer was a good idea.

Good to know it wasn't intentional, it felt like a slap to the face for the game to finally be back just to be removed again so soon.
Next time it goes on sale I'm just buying it straight away, I've been hearing good things about it for years.

I believe paco is right here, I can play Alice thru Family Sharing and we tried the CD-KEY on my friend's Origin account and voila. I guess EA asked Valve to take it down until they fix that issue.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Then, this issue is a thing with the games Akaneiro: Demon Hunters, Grimm and The Gate, too. They were removed at the same time.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Those are all games developed by Spicy Horse, so I'm guessing the problem lies there rather than the key issue.

EDIT: PeteOzzy beat me to it, American McGee himself confirmed it: Valve messed things up deleting Akaneiro because it wasn't working, accidentally removing all games developed by the dev.
