i for one had to install a different browser to figure it out, using firefox I couldn't just hover all over the link to find the pastebin (I didn't think to look into source at the time) however after installing something else I managed to just see the link with careful mouse placement... made it a lot easier to end up at the photo stage...which also stumped me for a while because I didn't think you could hide a rar as an image XD but after a bit of google i managed to get in!

the only one that worked me out of FF, chrome, IE, and opera, was opera.

the trick is to place mouse at the very end of the link (which is what I suspected I was doing wrong but didn't try installing any new browsers at first... i just tried using ff/chrome/IE then after getting opera I was very happy lol)

Damn I saved the picture with that google app. This way you don't get that "rar.jpeg", instead you get untitled.jpeg.
Nice puzzle. I was quite addicted to that the last 2 days :)

Thanks for posting the solution!! Now I know for sure I could've never solved this puzzle, it was really hard. Too much decoding and stuff like that.

Though now I feel super-dumb for not being able to solve even the first part :(

I'd like to emphasize on stuff LIKE THAT, i.e. stuff that is similar to decoding. This puzzle involved searching a site source code, decoding codes, changing filetypes etc. I'm not very good at computer witchcraft, and every step in this puzzle required different methods to solve. It's easy if you know what you're doing, but I'm not used to these kind of puzzles...

Logic and knowing different methods are two different things, my friend.

I was stuck at the first part because I was trying to search for a hidden giveaway link or some clues in the OP's post. I didn't even know there's this "view source" option in browsers. So no matter how much logic I would have used, I would never have been able to go past the first part because I didn't know of the method needed for solving that part.

LOL right? I'm glad I gave up immediately since I already have that game, but if I had figured it out to the very end and then found out it was that Virus game (which I also already have) then I would have put my boot through my monitor. Talk about false advertising...

Not sure what I did to the image (beside looking for clues in the exif data) but when I saved it locally I got a different filename. Never tought about turning image00.jpg into a rar archive. :/
