Is Digiphile leading the bundle Renaissance?

[SKIP] I think it's going to take more than this to revive the bundle golden age
[TOO EXPENSIVE] They need to shed a few 'tiers' if you know what I mean!

[LOW TIER] Going From Glory to Goo is maybe an indication that you took things A Bit Too Far!
[MID TIER] I shall storm the Stronghold of the Rogue Command-er! I heard he is stockpiling all the good games.
[HIGH TIER] The ancient Gods-worn out after The Scouring of the Dungeons 4 a bit of DLC and music. Is this 'treasure' worth the extra costs?
[GROUP BUY] Me and a few of my friends are naming ourselves after famous painters and doing a Renaissance group buy. We may also turn into turtles and do ninja training with a rat for a bit of fun.

Best bundle ever, insta buy! 😁

On a more serious note: Another great bundle by digiphile.
Had five of these wishlisted and the remaining two games turned out to be even more interesting than some of these five. Great curation, fair price.

I really like what Digiphil are doing with their bundles. Though I could do without the added tax. Tier 6 ends up being well over $26.
Is there sales tax added for purchases from the US?

You pay your local VAT and the currency conversion. I ended up paying 23,19€.
Edit: I have no idea though what they do if you happen to be in the US.

Someone on Bundle Splits from the US is calculating tax into their split price but I'm not seeing tax for this bundle or the VR bundle. The previous Digiphile bundles I did have to pay tax on though. It's state to state as well but my state is known for taxing Digital goods so not sure honestly.

$26 vs $23 though is the "premium" EU people pay when comparing the prices of digital goods so I don't think this is weird at all. This added tax is just Digiphile being weird but the end price is normal. $15 on Steam is 15 euros, $15 on Humble Bundle is like 15 euros. $23 on digiphile is like 23 euros. Gotta pay higher taxes if you actually want consumer protection laws.

depends where you live, I have an 8.25% tax on everything that isn't a charity contribution(need to confirm its setup right on digiphile), but with HB maxing the charity slider only makes me pay ~14 cents in sales tax on most bundles

That’s the U.S bro. Everywhere else gets treated differently, afaik.
For me, on HB, the price is in $NZ, and tax is included.
Adjusting the charity amount doesn’t do anything to the final price I have to pay.

The first makes no sense when it's cheaper on a steam sale.

Yeah, Digiphile bundles usually have awful deals for the first one or two tiers, but they get significantly better at the higher tiers.

Tiers:
$8 per game
$5 per game
$4 per game
$3.50 per game
$3.40 per game
$3.15 per game

I just bought 9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far for 8.50 EUR a month ago. :/

A pretty good bundle overall.
Keep in mind digiphile adds VAT at the end of your total price.

this is better than a lot of the Choice offerings of late. A few wishlists and so I went to tier.

At least it beats seeing old games recycled in bundles dozens of times. That said, the higher price point might be a dealbreaker for some.

A solid bundle. Sad, that they don't accept Paypal.

This, right here.
I've yet to buy any of their bundles because Paypal is the only way I buy Steam games. Just don't trust giving out my CC number to game sites like this.

Use GooglePay or Apple, they use tokens and don't share your credit card data.

really appreciate these threads on bundles, thank you to the creator and everyone who comments.
Im new to bundles and have a very small library - so looking at these makes me want to buy everyone.
I come here for a good dose of realism.
I wanted to jump on this one immediately. However if they don't offer paypal (still to find out if they offer AUD) in Australia our banks charge a huge fee for other currency/international transactions. so i might pass. any other Aussies have experience with digiphile??

During the checkout process at digiphile you have the option to decide if you want to pay in your local currency or in US dollar. If you fear your bank might charge too much, simply use the local currency option. For most others, their own banks usually offer the better currency conversion rate, making paying in US$ the cheaper option.

I wanna grab this, I really do, but idk if I really am going to considering that I only wanna grab 3 games from this list: Godsworn, Stronghold Crusader and The Scouring, which looked really nice.

The only game I own is Stronghold (amazing game, btw) and its DLCs.
T1-2 are whatever; T3-T6 are all on my WL; Dungeons 4 DLC is not worth it and is on sale for less.

A little bit more expensive at $26.62 (but thankfully $ is down, so it is only 22.99€), but still a good deal. T6 BUY with no additions for me.

I guess the pricing is not that bad if you get the $22 bundle, but it sure feels like it for 7 games. I'm not particularly impressed with the games and I'm not sure why they're so good other that they haven't been bundled yet.
