So.. do you?
I've been cooking since I was old enough to reach the stove-top. Mom always said one skill every man needs is to know how to cook, and she was an amazing teacher.
Got some carne asada marinading right now, in fact. Competed last year in the chili cook-off and placed, but I'll be going for that first place spot this year.

I love to cook! (Even though I'm not very good at it) My brother and I like experimenting and making lots of hearty dishes like Spam Masubi's, Fried Chickens, Rib-Eye Steaks, Seafood Pastas etc.
I wish I could make gyros and schnitzel. Those are two of my favorite foods, but I always just order them at restaurants. Do you have any good recipes that you use to make them?

well - schnitzel is one of the easiest meals to make ;p Just get veal cutlet, season with salt and pepper, put it in plastic wrap, beat it till it's thin, coat it with egg-milk mixture, then bread crumbs, fry it on oil or even better lard and voila ;p Just make sure not to overcook it ;p You can also use boneless pork chops instead of veal - it's popular variation in centre and eastern europe (in my country it's called "schabowy" and is one of most popular meals).
Ofc this is the basic schnitzel, there are many variations - you can put many different spices into egg-milk mixture(parmesan, parsley, dried basil or oregano, nutmeg, paprika, herbal pepper, garlic and so on and on), or some dried herbs mixed with bread crumbs, but like I said - these are variations, they all depends on what kind of schnitzel you actually enjoy the most ;)
Cannot really help with gyros - never made it on my own, but afaik it's actually mostly about mixing good spice mix, so do some research and experiment ;)

Do I like to cook? Sure, as much as the next guy, maybe a little more.

I find cooking special meals and my favorites to be very rewarding. Particularly when you live in a place as an expatriate where the foods you grew up with are just not available or not quite the same, it is great inspiration to try your hand at making such things. And now, especially with the wealth of information, community, and feedback that is the internet, all it really requires is a little patience, experimentation, and grit to get some amazing results.
The daily grind of cooking when you have less than 15 minutes to put a meal for a family of 5 on the table, 3 times a day, 7 days a week, and hearing complaints about it... yeah, that can sometimes get kinda old. But throwing some new quickie recipes and interesting ideas into the rotation sometimes helps make it less of a chore.

I don't cook, as I don't want to prepare anything for my father or brother. And I won't be able to cook for myself as "you should cook for everyone". So I stick to make something not complicated from time to time when noone is present or when only my mother is around.
But I find cooking to be nice, I enjoyed it when I was on some trip with friends and we cooked our meals ourselves.

Hey dudes!
So I just purchased some pork and realized that I have enough spices and garlic at home to make some decent gyros with some garlic-flavored baked potatoes pieces. Also, I love to do tzatziki myself so there I'll go.
Whilst doing so I wondered if you gamers also love to cook - or do you not? I cook as much as I can. Especially German/Austrian stuff like Schnitzel, Burgers, Hot Dogs or Russian stuff.
Have a great day you guys!
