I feel somewhat sorry for the otaku bundle guy, he is gonna have a bad day. Either refunding pennies to hundreds of buyers, or trying to convince them to take a replacement key for some 1 cent asset flip trash that he has thousands of keys for. :P

not anymore, here.

when i buy something from a reseller, i just want that "something" to be good. and if not, that is exclusively a reseller problem, not mine.

Saw the account alert just now, this is the first time this had happened to me :/. Are other games in the bundle affected too? Have the dev or Otaku Bundle speak out about this?

I just send a mail to otaku waiting for response
asking steam support for the reason well, but likely a bot replies an answer as it is shown in the removed reason tab :P

In fact it is helpful at the beginning at least. When 5 people make ticket in span of few minutes, that their game is revoked it's clear sign it's due to bigger problem, not isolated case.

So should I ask the 5 x giveaway I made almost 10 months ago to be deleted or will mods handle these automatically?

looks like your cake has a little tiny bitter piece... and you don't deserve that. i'll get in touch with "that guy" you won it from and try to find a good key for you.

meanwhile, enjoy all the sweet part of your cake!

Well its not the end of the world but if I want to keep my record intact I don't like having to delete giveaways so I will most likely buy 5 more copies but it just annoys me I have to sort it out this way as well as affecting the people who won and their ability to potentially enter giveaways via sgtools and such like.

Did they revoke the keys by mistake? I don't quite understand.
Edit: I don't think this is pure coincidence, maybe they screwed up the update and revoked a bunch of keys instead. :D

I think they need to stop allowing devs to do this, it's clearly being abused/done too many times 'by accident'. It seems like they just see a button they can click to revoke everybody's keys immediately. Why can't they have to at the very least submit a request to Steam with their reasons and any evidence so they have to wait in line forever for someone to get back to them like the rest of us?

Devs should obtain approval from Steam before they grant them permissions to revoke keys.

steam should remove key generation for most developers.
Situation when dev pay 100$ direct fee, release peace of code, generate 4000 keys and sell them for 400$ isn't normal. No one will care about game quality

I don't suppose there's a reputable article or quality blog post out there diving into this. It explains a lot and it sounds like something I'd be interested in finding out about. Does anyone have any links to further reading?

"We already got few tickets from people that game is revoked. So no need to make more tickets :D"

you should put that higher (and bolder) on Description!

not (yet?) revoked here, key was from Otaku. (Steam says: Purchased 11 Jan, 2018)

also, shared 15 copies:
https://www.steamgifts.com/user/icaio/search?q=twisted%20shadow

...let's see how this will go, and if you've won it from me, please check if your copy is still there :D

Mine is still there, but I bought it years ago from Amazon. It was in a bundle called Microsoft 5-Game Arcade/Indie Pack, which came with Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Mark of the Ninja, Deadlight, Toy Soldiers and Iron Brigade.

Darn, mine was too. First time I've ever had a game revoked. I traded for that one and I'm quite certain the person on the other end didn't deliberately trade me a shady key, so I guess I'll have to find it some other way. =/

EDIT: I confirmed with the trader that it was gotten from Otaku #12. As expected, they were very polite about the whole thing, and they even offered to trade another game. I declined since they weren't at fault, but kudos to them for being so considerate. =)
