UK is reportedly looking to give Ukraine ten Challenger 2 main battle tanks
What Are U.K. Challenger Tanks? Western Weapon That Could Go to Ukraine

Citing a Ukrainian source, Britain's Sky News reported that discussions have been ongoing for the U.K. to give Kyiv 10 of the British Army's Challenger 2 main battle tanks (MBT), which would be enough to equip a squadron.
"The Challenger is a frightening beast," "They're bigger, and much more of a monster than Soviet vehicles and tanks."
"One would hope that the U.K. would teach them to fight as a tank squadron. If they put them into a key position where they want to break through...then you could actually see something quite positive from them,"
"They want to be used as spearhead because if they drive them towards semi-trained or untrained troops, they'll just run away and are not going to stand around and wait for these monsters to come in and attack them,"
It can fire a wide variety of standard NATO 120 mm tank munitions and its turret and hull are protected with second-generation Chobham armor, making it one of the most protected tanks in the world, according to Military Today. The outlet said that the Challenger gun claims the longest-distance tank kill in history, defeating an Iraqi tank at a range of 4 kilometers during the Gulf War.

Russia Fears Frozen River Could Hand Ukraine Major Opportunity—Report

Ukrainian troops could take advantage of a sharp dip in the Dnieper River's water levels to cross the current front line at Zaporizhzhia and "start action anywhere" on this southern line of fighting, an official in the Russian-backed administration of the Ukrainian region has said.
Russia needs "to be prepared" for Kyiv's forces to advance if the surface of the river freezes, as it has done in the past and may likely do again in the coming days, Vladimir Rogov, the head of the pro-Moscow We Stand With Russia movement, said on Monday, according Kremlin-controlled news agency Tass.

Poor orcs, they will shit their pants without the possibility of washing themselves since the water will be frozen.

Ukraine war: Russia set to capture Soledar and its vast tunnel network

Russia looks set to capture the salt-mining town of Soledar in eastern Ukraine, with Kyiv calling the situation there "extremely difficult".
The strategic importance of Soledar is debated, but its capture would be significant for two reasons.
First, it would allow Russian forces to inch closer to the regional city of Bakhmut. Russia could use access to Soledar's deep, city-like network of salt mine tunnels, dormant since April, to penetrate Ukrainian-controlled territory.
Secondly, invading forces would be able to give Ukraine a taste of its own medicine. One thing that has helped Kyiv liberate territory has been its ability to target Russian supply lines.
The UK said it believed Soledar was close to falling to Russia - but added that the Kremlin was "unlikely" to take Bakhmut immediately due to Ukraine's "stable defence lines".
A senior military official from the US Department of Defense said on Monday there was a "good portion" of Soledar in Russian hands.
Capturing Soledar would just as much be a propaganda victory for the Kremlin as a military one.
The gains for Russia are relatively small and costly, but the town would be a much-needed trophy to present to critics back home.

Not a good news, but Soledar can always be recovered later. Which could turn the small victory for the Russian propaganda into an epic failure.

Russian artillery fire down nearly 75%, US officials say, in latest sign of struggles for Moscow

Washington CNN —  As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine enters its 11th month, US and Ukrainian officials tell CNN that Russia’s artillery fire is down dramatically from its wartime high, in some places by as much as 75 percent.
US and Ukrainian officials don’t yet have a clear or singular explanation. Russia may be rationing artillery rounds due to low supplies, or it could be part of a broader reassessment of tactics in the face of successful Ukrainian offenses.
Last month, a senior US military official said that Russia has had to resort to 40-year-old artillery shells as their supply of new ammo dwindled. To the US, the use of degraded ammunition, as well as the Kremlin’s outreach to countries like North Korea and Iran, was a sign of Russia’s diminished stocks of weaponry.
The Russians’ declining rate of fire is not linear, one US defense official noted, and there are days when Russians still fire far more artillery rounds – particularly around the eastern Ukrainian cities of Bakhmut and Kreminna, as well as some near Kherson in the south.
It appears now that Russia is focused more on bolstering its defense fortifications, particularly in central Zaporizhzhia, the UK Ministry of Defense reported in its regular intelligence update on Sunday. The movements suggest that Moscow is concerned about a potential Ukrainian offensive either there or in Luhansk, the ministry said.

Also, a bit more in detail about the new general and also updates about Soledar -

"The whole city is littered with the corpses of Ukrainian soldiers," he said.

Says Prigozhin. Hope that dog gets what's coming to him.
Either way - I suppose that's how it looks like when you dress your mercenaries in Ukraine fatigues, then send them in wave by wave to be killed on spot. Absolutely no doubt that Ukraine has suffered losses. But since Russia is the one on offensive and since we know they don't care about their killed it is 100% certain that these 500 allegedly killed Ukraine soldiers at most or if not all are the unfortunate sods who where sent as meat forward by wagner.

If Russia actually manages to hold down this town, I can guarantee that they will flood the internet with pictures and videos of allegedly killed Ukrainian soldiers. This is like their classic pastime of dressing up in Ukraine fatigues and acting dead.. This time though Russia went a step further - they actually dressed up their disposable meatbags in Ukraine clothes and sent everyone to die to have their next propaganda piece.

That terrorist state has zero morals and has to be stopped at any cost. While I would understand some diplomatic exits for Russia and even some way out for Putin, I do whole heartedly hope that wagner gets classified as terrorist organization after this war so they can't operate anywhere in the world. Every single one of their mercenaries should be put on terrorist watchlist with kill-on-sight order. Whatever Russia is doing, what wagner is doing is on a whole new level. There are already some alleged interviews from the captured wagner guys who where conscripted out of jails. They say they are ordered to storm the enemy and keep fire on them no matter what. If they refuse or hide the wagner shoots them. If you flee - you get shot. I suppose this can also be seen as a way for Russia to get rid of their prisoners.... Still thats inhumane and psychotic.

They are just digging their grave deeper and deeper with these TV Shows. They are at this point equal to nazi germany in ideology. Just missing designers clothes. Thus far luckily no systematic genocide thanks to united west.

My two cents - the world made a huge mistake when they didn't treat soviet union same as nazi germany. Both regimes were essentially the same. And with allowing soviet union to exist it allowed a place where it could evolve into Kremlin and hide itself behind "democratic" country and president. I just don't see how the world can move forward with Russia remaining as is. If west eventually allows Russia to actually save its face and doesn't press on being reformed then the world is in deep shit. That would be a perfect breeding ground for some hitler-like lunatic to come to power and try to take revenge in 20-30 years for the "humiliation" Russia sees today.

I know we don't learn from our own history .. but hopefully we will try to do anything to limit anything similar happening later on

🙄This topic is prominent today.
It appears that a large number of anti-aircraft vehicles are being assembled in the city of Moscow.

Moscow appears to be overly fearful of drone strikes and assassinations of government leaders.

Moscow's defenses may be strengthened, but the air defense posture of Russian infrastructure facilities and military bases will be greatly reduced.

If the Russian government had been "honest," what would it have done to Kiev? It would have broadcast it within Russia.
If Ukraine does such a thing to Moscow, the Russian people will know what will happen to them.

If I were a Russian citizen unable to escape Russia due to unavoidable circumstances, I would consider distancing myself from Moscow.
Frankly, I think it is better to think of it as preparing for something more dangerous than drone countermeasures.

Well, you talk in absolutes, we do.

If you haven't noticed people are not against Russians. People are against faschist regime that has taken over Russian government.
This regime led by putin is invading and murdering people in Ukraine. If you support this war and murder then of course you are an evil orc - how else do you want to be called?

All you have said in this thread indicated that you support and advocate for bombing civilians, invading a country and leveling cities down to ground. Do you really wish to hear sympathetic opinions to you?

Unfortunately this sick propaganda machine has been successful in turning Russians into hateful and spiteful bunch. just don't believe it...., work for integrating into 21st century, for making Russia into a superpower it could be. But not through murdering people. Enrich your culture instead of stealing, advance your science instead of using it to murder everyone. Is it that hard to grasp?

Some whatabaoutism from years back that have no proof mean nothing against the fact Russia invaded. I mean I understand that you are a paid troll and I only just generated you some more rubles for giving you a response, but seriously - this sheer idiocy is so annoying. So we have been bombing a country for almost a year. Killed civilians in hundreds, hit hundreds of targets that have no military significance whatsoever - but hey, remember Donbas? Or whatabout iraq, afhganistan, palestine. Dont you see the fucking hypocracy here?

BTW what the hell happened - where the hell did you come out of? Where you banned or did kremlin finally paid out salary for you to continue spewing this propaganda bullshit?

(1/5) On 12 January 2023, Andrey Kartapolov, the head of the Russian State Duma Defence Committee, suggested Russia would extend the upper age of routine military conscription from 27 to 30 in time for the Spring 2023 draft.

🙄 The Russian government continues to mobilize the entire population "without a break," doesn't it?
Will young people disappear from the workplace and only rich old people will survive in this society?
How many times have we raised the age?
Not a year has passed since this war began.
At this rate, if the age range is regularly expanded, one can only imagine when the Russian citizens who can read this will be eligible.

There will be no adults to raise children and no one to take care of the elderly.
Some may say that this has never happened in history.
You might want to read about the "end of war" or "post-war" period in Japan during World War II.
You may see despair and hell in the former and salvation and resignation in the latter.

Dnipro apartment building attack: Death toll rises to 20 | CNN

Today, among other things, it seems that they attacked Dnipro with antiquated missile from the Black Sea, again involving civilians.

In a few more months, Russian cities will be flooded with Russian soldiers who were lucky enough to return from the front lines in Ukraine with serious injuries.
The day will soon come when one of the warlords with many weapons will call themselves the Russian government as security deteriorates since the Russian government is refusing to pay even a couple of dollars to guarantee the lives of the wounded soldiers.
The leaders of the Russian government, who are in a position to see such "damage data," will be talking nonsense about doing something about it in a month.
Do you Russian citizens want to spend the rest of your lives taking care of these hassles?

Watch: Vladimir Putin filmed losing it at official

Do most of you not realize that Russia will have the same result if it wins or loses to Ukraine?
Russia has lost its youth, it has lost its credibility, and of course it doesn't have anything to make up for the losses because it has ruined Ukraine, the country it looted.

It would be better to get rid of the Russian government as soon as possible, which has made such a foolish choice that can only make both Russia and Ukraine unhappy.
It is difficult to understand what people who call themselves Russian citizens are thinking when they speak about this area.

Russian propagandist rejoices over civilian deaths after the strike in Dnipro
[Video on Twitter] - Russians celebrate the strike on a civilian house in Dnipro. No negotiations. No forgiveness. Arm Ukraine now! This is the only way to peace.

Sergei Mardan, a propagandist from the «Komsomolskaya Pravda» media, rejoices at the death of civilians as a result of yesterday's Russian rocket attacks on Dnipro and threatens Kyiv and Kharkiv with the fate of Mariupol.

So? We celebrated with some nice fireworks. Proper fireworks, as there should be. Does it feel good? I'm not going to hide it, it feels good. But it would feel much better to see some bridge over Dnipro blown up to pieces. Russian emergency services told the state-run news agency Interfax that the sergeant accidentally detonated a hand grenade which caused ammunition to blow up and started a fire.
Baza said the man who caused the blast "picked up an RGD-5 grenade in order to establish authority over his troops."
"After the explosion, which took place in a cultural center housing mobilized soldiers, ammunition detonated and a fire erupted over an area of 450 square meters. It took firefighters about four hours to extinguish it." Baza reported.

There is no doubt that it was a Kh-22 missile," noted the Armed Forces of Ukraine, adding that they have no firepower capable of shooting down this type of missile.
"Over 210 such missiles have been launched on the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's military aggression. And not a single one has been shot down by air defence systems."

UN Human Rights Office

Ukraine: civilian casualty update 16 January 2023 | OHCHR
https://www.ohchr.org/en/news/2023/01/ukraine-civilian-casualty-update-16-january-2023

From 24 February 2022, when the Russian Federation’s armed attack against Ukraine started, to 15 January 2023, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded 18,358 civilian casualties in the country: 7,031 killed and 11,327 injured. This included:

(omit)

😑
The first Russian propaganda line was, "It's a special operation that doesn't involve civilians." Wasn't it?
With so many people missing, it is not surprising that another 10,000 or so were killed.
Russia, I believe, had about three times the population of Ukraine.
Imagine where a nearby city of 30,000 Russian citizens disappeared.
Including how they might have died.

Well, today is the day when about 7,000 people died in a major earthquake in my country a long time ago.
If you say that was done by human beings, then I feel that human beings are evil and dangerous creatures.

One must truly be gifted to pull out logic like this regarding the numbers.

Let me enlighten you princess.
1) Territories Russians are invading have way more people fleeing away. So naturally there are way less people there that can get harmed
2) Ukraine is not bombing civilian infrastructure the way Russians are. You are literally shooting up hospitals and city blocks as its some kind of competition to get more civilian hits
3) we are talking small portion of occupied territories against the whole of Ukraine (Kyiv included) that you are mindlessly bombing.

But hey, I love how you constantly remind us that Russian propaganda is on kindergartener level and the best you can do is try to twist every little information no matter how illogical or stupid it sounds.

Three explanations

  • The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) cannot fully investigate the territories invaded by the Russians.
  • When using bombing, Ukrainian forces care much more about civilian lives than the Russian invaders.
  • Ukrainians liberated areas leading to discovery of genocide/war crimes perpetrated by Russians

If we limit it down to Donetsk and Luhanks only, then it only invalidates my third point. But makes it more evident that Russia is even more reckless towards shooting and bombing civilians since you can get higher number of casualties in smaller territory then I assumed in the beginning.

If anything you just made yourself sound even more arrogant and evil

How would you feel if you knocked on the door of your kindly neighbor's house to burglarize it and tried to open it for you?
The Russian government is pretty much like that.
People in areas where they have many relatives on both sides of Ukraine and Russia will not flee because they don't think a "special operations" or "declaration of war" beatdown is going to happen.

And there will still be unreported civilians lying under rubble and in mass graves.
This is not surprising given the situation in Bucha and Ijum.

To make it easier to imagine the local damage, as of 2017, Donetsk has about 900,000 people and Luhansk has about 400,000.
Roughly speaking, I can say that one of my friends in the same grade is involved and has been a casualty.

Had Russia accepted the UN investigation, the number would have been much higher.
Because Russia has not accepted it.
Ukraine is merely accepting the investigation.
The same goes for the part about which side the world believes.

In time, this report will also be produced in Ukrainian and Russian.
There will be no point in beating around the bush except to let the people who know the truth know so that they will have a better understanding and the "act of war" will end sooner rather than later.

Do Russians kill all their relatives too?

I think I heard this very well at the beginning of the war.

How do you know what and how Russia is doing if our point of view and our information are banned from being used.

Huh, does the SG have a speech control or censorship function?

As far as we know, no.
If you insult other users or use racist terms, you will be noted in the guidelines.

What your news tell you has a one-sided slope and far-far away from real situation.

Research data from international organisations may be more credible as 'news' and 'truth' than 'rumour' that 'someone said'.
In some cases I have published economic data from the Russian government as well.

I don't gonna post any proofs, this is tread about light elves kingdom! And as we all know elves do not poop.
(You have rewritten.)
I don't gonna post any proofs (try search in Russian awareness thread), this is thread about light elves kingdom! And as we all know elves do not poop. =)

If you don't post evidence, then it is no better than slander and cold-bloodedness.
At one time people were posting tweets from the Russian Embassy here.
However, material evidence was also done that their content was fake.
Well, I think Russians can be forgiven for laughing at stories about Ukrainian 'ghost fighters' and 'shooting down fighter jets with rifles'.
They are allowed to laugh because the 'evidence' is presented.
When there is truth, there is a little basis for being able to say it.
If there is not even that, where do you start believing it, well, the Russian people probably think so about their government.
That's enough about this subject with you.

If the Russian Kh-22 missile was intercepted by the Ukrainian AA, the trajectory of the Kh-22 missile would have been curvilinear or curved, due to the speed of the Kh-22 missile.
Instead, the Russian Kh-22 missile has a direct trajectory. The proof in the following video.
[Video on Twitter] - Video of the Russian Kh-22 missile with 1 ton warhead directly striking the intended target - civilian the apartments in #Dnipro in #Ukraine. You can see the missile itself on a direct trajectory. The story pushed by #Arestovych that it was shut down by AA is utter BS.

Anyway, Ukraine does not have the capability to shoot down a Russian Kh-22 missile. The Russian Kh-22 missile is said to be extremely inaccurate.

Zelenskiy Says More Measures Coming After Decree Banning Religious Organizations With Links To Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said measures to guarantee Ukraine's "spiritual independence" will continue after Ukraine on December 2 banned the activities of religious organizations “affiliated with centers of influence” in Russia. [...]
Zelenskiy earlier on December 2 signed a decree enacting a decision to impose personal sanctions against representatives of religious organizations associated with Russia, which invaded Ukraine more than nine months ago. [...]
The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has conducted searches recently at the facilities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in which law enforcement officers discovered "a large number of anti-Ukrainian materials” and documents confirming the presence of Russian citizenship in the leadership of diocesan structures. It's not the end of the Orthodox churches in Ukraine, the pro-Russian priests will be replaced by pro-Ukrainian priests, that's all.

I really would not be surprised that Moghma just like Bazilus are so deeply affected by propaganda that at this point they truly believe they are sent by god and every other country is openly Nazi and somehow we don't see it. For them it is probably delivered that every person speaking in Russian and going to orthodox church are being killed on spot and Ukraine is banning anything relating to religion and creating their own sect of following satan which is financed by evil west and their nazi money.

The nazi/faschist thematic is so old, back in 92 ruSSia used it against my country (Moldova) to invade the so called Transnistria. Even back then you could see them chucking out bunch of propaganda about "Moldovan-Romanian faschists", basically they call every Moldovan who isn't sucking ruSSia's dick a Romanian faschist, clowns.

You can see that even in the movie CARBON (tragicomedy about the times).

Clowns like moghma and bazilus listen to whatever the tv tells them, they want to believe that they aren't the baddies, they'll justify all of their deeds they see as long as it doesn't touch them.

It is perhaps the more sinister pathology of our times that religious political groups, whose modus operandi is to exclude religion, claim that we are irreligious.
When we look to Asia, we see such a nightmare.

It is a nightmarish reality where ideology, values and education from childhood are poisoned at the school stage, without the knowledge of parents.
The Khmer Rouge, the Japan-Japan Teachers' Union issue, Christianity in China, they are all nightmarish stories.

It is a hotbed of brainwashing education through religious methods and selective thinking to exclude those who think differently, and the ruling class with vested interests exploiting others to the hilt.
Which country has "learnt more about and utilised" the "religious modus operandi" by eliminating religion?
Well, never mind.(The above story has nothing to do with Ukraine. (Spoiler part))

[...] In order to really take Kyiv, in order to really defeat the million-strong Ukrainian army, which the West helps, supplies with weapons, you must do the following, comrades - this is what I appeal to the Z-patriots - well, let's do it.
The first is to announce a real mobilization in the country, to actually conscript several million Russian men.
Next: you must actually close the exit from the country, really put the entire economy on martial law.
What you will achieve as a result is that the huge million-strong cities in ukraine, including Kyiv and Kharkov, will turn into ruins like Mariupol. You will get hundreds of thousands of dead people. Is it what you want?

Good question for the Russians.

Most of Wagner Prisoner Fighters Are Dead or Deserted After Soledar: Report

Approximately just one-fifth of the former Russian prisoners recruited to fight against Ukraine as part of the Wagner Group remain, according to a Russian journalist. [...]
But of those approximate 50,000 soldiers, only "10,000 are fighting at the front, because all the rest are either killed...or missing, or deserted, or surrendered."
She also suggested that Prigozhin does not keep statistics on missing or defected prisoners, instead writing off such soldiers as deceased whether or not it's factual.
Meduza reported on Friday about a woman who received an empty coffin from the Wagner Group, though she was unaware it was empty at the time. [...]
"They told us that there was no need to open the coffin, because before sending [fighters to the war], they take some DNA, and when the corpses are found, they compare them," said the woman. "They told us that they gave us a 100 percent guarantee that it is him."
Claims of a mostly depleted force comprised of prisoners and mercenaries accompany new reports of tension between Prigozhin and Putin, due to the group not living up to its advertised military prowess.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said Prigozhin's "star has begun to set" after failed promises of capturing the Donetsk city of Bakhmut.

Prigozhin's Wagner is almost out of meat bags. This might explain why Prigozhin was so eager to take all the credit for Soledar.

Estonia to give Ukraine all its 155-mm howitzers in largest aid package so far

[...] citing Estonian Ambassador to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk. "We want to create a precedent so that other countries will not have any excuses why they cannot provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons to win the war," Kuusk reportedly said.
Kuusk also confirmed previous media reports that the package would include dozens of 155-mm FH-70 and 122-mm D-30 howitzers, thousands of 155 mm artillery shells, and hundreds of M2 Carl Gustaf anti-tank grenade launchers with ammunition. [...]
It would be the largest aid package provided by Estonia so far, increasing the country's total military assistance to 370 million euros which is more than 1% of its GDP.

Other European countries should follow Estonia's example and use 1% of their own GDP to help Ukraine. Also, they should avoid delaying their help under false pretexts.
