O, I'm surprised you've played that game. I thought it had a really good atmosphere, but wow that localization company... wtf did they do? Honestly everyone should play this game, at least for the first 30 minutes, just too see how horrible a bad localization can be.

I'm a huge fan of the KEY visual novels, but you seem to be familiar if you've played CLANNAD. CLANNAD and Kanon are my favorites.
Utawarerumono is a really great story, with tactical RPG elements and an English patch. The only downside is a lack of multiple endings.

9 Doors 9 Persons 9 Doors
Tsukihime
Fate Stay Night
and Adult oriented ones that I don't want to mention.

As mentioned before, Sengoku Rance is a great game (does involve a little nudity every now and again :P).
As not mentioned before (i think), Kamidori Alchemy Meister is a great game as well (less nudity).
Lets not forget about Tears to Tiara (even less nudity)
++ a whole load that dont really have gameplay (or less).
None of em are really visual novels, but they do have visual novel like convo's, i prefer the titles with a little more gameplay.

I'd recomment Princess Waltz. It's a bit linear, but the art is simply glorious, story nice, and it has some of my most favourite VN characters. Utawarerumono has a bit worse art, and weird ending, but the story is good, and the side game (replaying battles you do in story) is excellent even on its own.

999, Lux Pain, Analogue: A Hate Story (which utterly sucks) and Katawa Shoujo, among with other minor stuff. The last one in particular is one perfect example of how an anime drama (or a visual novel) should be: the player really creates a bond with the girl of his choice and tries to do his best to comfort her and make her life better. It's not a story about a spoiled teen who is too ashamed to declare to his crush, KS's girls suffers from really bad problems and that's how you make a drama.
As for Lux Pain, i literally did not understood a single thing of that game, and i don't blame it entirely on the poor translation. The setting is kinda confusing and it just lacks of a clear explanation on what's going on there.

Right now I'm playing G-Senjou no Mao and it is amazing.
Other visual novels I have played are:
-Fate/Stay Night
-Chaos;Head (haven't finished it yet)
-Clannad
-Little Busters
-Rewrite
Have anyone played visual novels too? Which one is your favorite? And which ones do you recommend?
