What is the purpose of having a GIVEAWAY site where only the rich, not the poor, can have a chance to win a game?
If you want to have a restriction like this in place, then you shoulda made SG.com a trading website, not a giveaway one.

The admin has the exact stats, but from what I can remember, something like 99.9%+ of giveaways had CV set to $30.01 or lower on SGv1. That's basically contributing a $1 Humble Bundle + a 25 cent DLC on Steam. I would hardly consider that for "rich" people.

Remember all the talk on the old site about a life without CV, and how fair/unfair it would be, and how can giveaways be filtered, and why anyone would contribute... Waste of time, CV is still here. I'm in favor of the idea of CV; I just don't see why announcing "there will be no CV" but in the end leaving it in with a different unit of measurement.

Originally there wasn't going to be CV, but then when open beta hit, there were so many complaints that CV was added again. I don't remember there being an announcement that set in stone that there would be no CV. Even during closed beta, cg was always open to the possibility of introducing some new contributor system.
