Groupees recently announced via a Twitter post that due to some disruption with their technical team based in Ukraine they are not currently able to offer bundles.
The same message appears on the main Groupees page as a scrolling text, with the deadline moved to the end of August and a new tweet was posted after the original one, with the deadline extension.
Even though the posts mention the end of August as a deadline, Groupees domain expires on 21 August. The domain has been renewed for 1 more year.

21 AUG: According to an official Groupees tweet, you will have access to your account even after 21 August.

🌟 NEW: 25 OCT: Groupees announced that they are in the process of restoring full services, including restarting bundle offers (source)

Since it's uncertain if Groupees will still be up after 21 August 2022, it's better to claim all your keys / download all your assets from past purchases beforehand.

Groupees is not expiring on August 21. We can guarantee user access past August 2022. More updates to follow.

Christian is one of the admins of the site so this is a good start.

It's nice that they clarified this, but waiting until literally one hour before the supposed deadline to do so... 😐
Well at least I can take a break and go to sleep ^^

depends on where the domain server was located, if it was US based then still had half a day til deadline but yeah it was cutting close regardless.

Recently, have had several winners who have received giveaways here claiming that they have not heard back from support.

I am happy to confirm that they have plenty of time to receive their replacements.

I was posting my unrevealed keys as giveaways and have found a number that show used even though I clearly didn't use them....I couldn't even see them until clicking reveal. It's on me I waited so long but I feel bad for people winning and having to delete the giveaway.

Usually, if the key is unopened, the recipient may receive a replacement key by applying for it with a support ticket.

However, in some cases, perhaps due to the recent "closure crisis," no response has been received for more than 10 days after submitting a support ticket.

In such cases, it is a good idea to have the winner mark the ticket as "not received" and see what happens.
Considering what SG supporters have said 📝 in the past, it is not very desirable to make SG supporters take the trouble to delete GAs.

Can someone explain an idiot proof way of how i should get the user id? Can't find it.
I am getting a long string but nothing that starts with user id.

It doesn't start with user_id, it's just the long string you're getting.

Can I add you for this?

I've been trying to follow that guide from imgur but the whole website navigation on github and UI is absolute garbage. It's like a whole bunch of sociopaths got together and decided to make a website

EDIT

Nvm I'm so lost in that imgur link that I decided to just go through my Groupees purchases one by one

Sorry, I didn't notice your comment :/

If you have a few bundles you can do the downloads manually. If not, the scraper is the best way to go. If you still need help (or if you find out that going through your purchases is a nightmare) feel free to add me on Steam.

If you are trying to use the scraper you don't need to provide the user ID or CSRF. You only need the cookie, the program will fetch the ID/CSRF on its own.

I was trying aria/groupeesdownload, i am for whatever is easiest, but i am just very clueless with scripts.

With groupeesdownload i got syntax is incorrect.

groupeesdownload.exe dump-bundles <tokens> i tried putting the cookie in the token brackets.

The guide on imgur is outdated, if you're using that. Devotee's comment shows the syntax. The groupeesdownload program only needs the session cookie. You can ignore the parts of the guide about user id & csrf.

Okay i did groupeesdownload.exe dump-bundles --cookie (cookie).

It then says getting bundle 01/82 till 82/82, but it was done in 1 minute and i can see no download folder? Not that i believe it could download all bundles in a minute.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It should have created a file called bundles.json if it worked. It's just fetching the list of bundles that you own, not actually downloading any files.

To get the download links, after you've run your dump-bundles command, you need to run:

GroupeesDownload.exe generate-links --use-dirs

which will generate a file downloads_list.txt which you can then use with aria2c. The command I used was (edit to put your cookie string in there):

aria2c --input-file=downloads_list.txt --header "Cookie: _groupees_session=PUT_YOUR_COOKIE_HERE" --auto-file-renaming false --conditional-get true --auto-save-interval=10

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Thanks, I did those things (before you posted) but without --use-dirs and --auto-file-renaming false --conditional-get true --auto-save-interval=10 . Do i need that and what do they do?

GroupeesDownload.exe generate-links --use-dirs itself produces a unrecognized command or argument, or you mean output?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

use dirs makes it download each bundle into its own folder. auto file renaming false lets it resume interrupted downloads (at the expense of possibly missing downloads if 2 files in the same bundle have the exact same filename, for example game.zip for Windows and game.zip for MacOS). conditional get tries to determine if the file on your PC is older than the one on the server, it'll overwrite if older (probably irrelevant in this case). The auto save interval is how (in seconds) often aria2c saves its progress in case it crashes or gets interrupted.

Okay but when i still exactly type in GroupeesDownload.exe generate-links --use-dirs itself it still produces a unrecognized command or argument? It then gives a list of possible options, nothing showing about use dirs?

https://imgur.com/a/BNWO8lJ

And if i want to have both flac/mp3 i add --includeall to the very end of the line you posted, or before, or not matters?

I am gonna start trying to download tommorow morning, kinda scary devotee said 15 days (i got my pc in the bedroom and can't sleep with it on). But might been at a time everyone was downloading.

Ugh, seems the program has been updated since I used it. According to the documentation on github:

The --organize option takes the following values:

BundleOnly: only sorts files by bundle
BundleAndProduct: sorts file by bundle, then by product name
BundleAndType: sorts files by bundle, then by product type (games, music, android, books, movies, others)

So, instead of --use-dirs you'd want to "--organize BundleAndType" (without the quotes) to split downloads by bundle and type. That would actually resolve the issue I mentioned about PC & Mac having the same filename, for example.

I bought over 200 bundles and it was about 375GB in total to download. I did not do it all at once but did about half one day and half the next.

Comment has been collapsed.

Wow and i thought i had much with just 82 bundles.

How do you divide it in 2 days is that another seperate command or it auto resumes?
Then again if i got half it might just be doable in one day.

You can interrupt aria2c by pressing control-c, and then run it again with the same exact command line and it should skip the files that already exist and resume where it left off

Alternatively you can take the txt file it generates with all of the links in it and use notepad to cut & paste into smaller chunks (multiple files).

I mean, any competition is a good thing.. but I have my doubts they'll get anywhere with game bundles. All of the bundle sites died out besides Humble and Fanatical. Even IG is pretty much dead, they very rarely offer quality bundles anymore.

I don't even think IndieGala is competition at this point.. I've bought two bundles from them in years. One was from a group buy/happy hour and the other was the paradox bundle they ran which humble eventually copied

the bigger problem is that they relaunched without much promotion (except on twitter and their site), so of course they couldn't afford to bring about an amazing welcome back bundle.

So.. basically Indie Gala quality bundles but without the cheap happy hour prices. Can't imagine they're gonna get anywhere with these bundles, but I guess there's no real risk.

EDIT: Isn't Acquitted the game that was originally in a Fanatical bundle but got taken down because of its ties with Rittenhouse? That's.. probably not a good game to launch a bundle with
