grrrl is not a word, it's some kind of sound made by undeveloped primates or something

i consulted with chatGPT, it said it may originate from "riot grrrl", it's a "slang" for saying girl in a slurred or extended way i guess, crazy that it's on dictionaries, lmao.
Edit: i suggest you put up a spoiler on the word at least.

Dictionaries are supposed to document how language is used, even if it may be wrong, and since riot grrrl is a widely used term in music fields, dictionaries add it. It's all about descriptive vs. prescriptive linguistics. Take, for example, the word "literally"... this word is used almost ad nauseum and has lost it's original definition due to wide overuse and misuse... and the dictionary had to follow suit. You might not agree with it but that's just how language works.

Oh sure, i do agree with language working this way and i think it's important to have these words in dictionaries, i know plenty other (way dumber) examples of stuff in dictionaries that don't make much sense, for example, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is in the cambridge dictionary. I guess more what i meant is that grrrl on it's own does not make much sense at all, nobody uses that word, ever, riot grrrl on the other side does make sense, it is the origin of the word and should stand out, i do not agree with it being a "widely used term in music fields", and i'd say it's more like a very niche side of music that does not really persist anymore, although as i said, i agree that it SHOULD be registered for posterity, i just think the full wording should be used (Which is something that does not work that way since dictionaries normally register the "core" word, but oh well)

Very nice.
Is this one open-source by chance? (wondering if we might eventually see even more types of word games if there's an example codebase to start from and people willing to contribute patches). No worries/judgement if not, just curious.

Hey there peeps! π
I love when the community does puzzles, and I think it's nice when we keeps things fresh. So when I participate at events I normally try to come up with something new!
In the latest train from The Giveaways Club people seemed to have liked the Wordle-based puzzle I made, and mentioned it would be nice to be able to create their own (thanks Foxmonster for the nudge and idea!).
So here you go, I present you SG Wordle: https://sg-wordle.netlify.app/. It has a tutorial to show how it looks like before you create your own puzzle.
How it works
For creators, you can can create your own Wordle-like puzzle at https://sg-wordle.netlify.app/create, and define from 1 to 5 words, plus the secret which will be shown when people solve it. People who solve it can share their attempts (without showing any spoilers or links) so others can see how they solved the puzzles. The words will be displayed in order, but they will be selected randomly for people to solve to keep the game a little more dynamic.
For players, you will get to solve the puzzle, and once it's solved, you get the secret (giveaway code, sgtools link, or anything else the puzzle authors decide). For anyone who has never played Wordle, this is inspired by https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle. It's a nice, daily puzzle to spend a few minutes in, and end up improving your vocabulary.
In the attached image you will see how it looks like in SG Wordle.
I hope you have fun, and if you have any feedback I am happy to take a look and improve the tool!
