If you have enough gems, I think 1000, you can turn them into a booster pack, which you can sell in the market. If you don't have 1000 gems, then there's nothing you can do with them.

The gems are really just a massive waste of time, though. Don't bother with them. Stick with cards.

Checking how many gems you need for a booster pack is no more than TWO clicks away.

Spoiler alert: it's less than 1k.

the 1000 gems is for a sack of gems that is 50cent right now. depending on what games you own you can craft those boosters and they range from about 500->1300 (could be lower ones but i have not looked).

as of now you can not revers gem crafting best you can do is contact steam support but if they were holiday cards they may expire before support responds.

the best you can get back is by making a sack of 1000 gems and selling the sack. or make boosters from the gems

You could have just sold the cards and bought certain Backgrounds/emotes worth 100 gems (Ones from Warframe and Payday 2 are cheap and worth 80-100 gesm). Then crafted those into sacks, then made boosters. Feeding cards into gems is a waste of cards. You get less gems.

Well, yeah, but that was obviously a mistake in the first place.

Those gems are a bit of a ripoff, though, aren't they?
