What do you think about Palworld? Nintendo officially made a statement they are going to investigate

I'm not a survival fan, really bought it for family share with my brother who loves those games along with Pokemon. Still, I put some time into it because I do like Pokemon and Digimon type games myself. It isn't bad, but having to collect resources all the time and gather food is annoying. I need to look at custom settings next time I boot it, someone on Discord mentioned I can decrease survival settings lower than Easy.

It looks mid tier at best. I was waiting for Ark 2, not this. Looks like it comes from a very small dev team based on it's visuals and systems who figured out how to copy pokemon and thanks to that they are now multi millionaires so congrats to them for launching at the right time to bait over 1 million people. Doesn't seem to do anything that ark 1 didn't do better 10 years ago, and it also looks like a chinese bootleg copy of ark. But I get it, they exploited some interesting concepts like pokemons with guns, really memeey. It kinda gives me the vibe of the "only up" fiasco where someone realized people like climbing games, so someone just put one up together pretty fast and pushed it out.

What I find most surprising is the player count, I feel like everyone bought it because it's the hype. I legit can not see what makes this better or more interesting than ark, other than maybe that everyone played ark at this point and ark 2 was supposed to release originally at the end of 2023 and it's been delayed to 2024.

From my pov, I have too many better things I want to play before I would give this a shot so atm it's an easy skip. I'm more interested in smalland over this.

Was never a Pokemon guy, adding guns and whatnot doesn't quite change that for me. I wouldn't mind playing it with a friend or two, but everybody I know is either hostile-to-apathetic about the game so I'll be passing on it.

All hype, all fluff. It'll be forgotten in about a month or less.

The way it handles the whole poaching / slavery stuff makes me wanna vomit.

"Pal" is one of the ways we refer to a dick, so when the game's dialogue includes "Be careful because in this area you'll find gigantic Pals," I admit it becomes a funny thing. It's super fun for anyone who even vaguely enjoys survival crafting games and monster collecting games, and I feel bad for anyone so jaded and contrary they feel the need to dismiss something just because it's popular, or worse, wholesale buy into the propaganda without ever playing it for themselves.

Everyone seems to be playing it and it does look kinda fun, but I'm not all that into survival/crafting games and it likely won't run on my PC so I'm not gonna bother spending money on it. If it manages to make it out of early access some day and it's still going strong I might give it a go tho.

I think the same thing I think about all early access games - I want to see the finished product.

I understand why people have fun with it, but to me it seems empty. But I haven't played it.

As far as ripping off Pokémon... yeah we can all see that that one is a green Eevee with a gem etc. Their best design is that original yellow big thing, it should have been all original but that's tough if you want a quick buck. It definitely shows the desire for a good Pokémon game on all platforms. I more care about GameFreak not making a broken game for once. Your full game shouldn't run worse than am early access game.

As long as the kids stop playing Fortnite.
