yea was a super fast buy for me to, 6/7 of the unowned were wishlisted. Night cascades was hanging out in the maybe territory.

The thriller setting and plot of Fatal Twelve sounds fascinating. The other games not so much though and their art seems rather simple/cheap. I'll very likely pass.

Yeah, the least "yuri romance" of them all :) It's the only one I would bother playing.
I have played Highway Blossoms which was solid, but is clearly not a Japanese game as opposed to most of the others.

Kindred Spirits is peak, and I've heard many good things about the others I haven't played from people who know good yuri. So I'd recommend the whole bundle even if Highway Blossoms and especially Next Exit are kinda awful.

Are we talking about the same game? It's a long, but fairly linear VN with very few choices that only affect a few lines of dialogue afterwards. There isn't really a different way to play it.

I'm sure a lot of things would sound horrific if read as a mostly out-of-context spoiler without actually experiencing 80% of the media that comes before that. If we're talking about the same review, it's also mistaken - I can't stand Megumi, only like the other ghost a little, and I don't think it falls apart at all.

They're probably talking about the teacher / student relationship. Honestly I found it to be the weakest of the stories but yeah there was not much to be outraged of unless you wanted to play the moral police. The weird ghost sex thing was in a much greyer area regarding consent but barely any review mentions it.

See, that's not a specific scene though, that's a whole couple explored throughout the game. And if you have a problem with that kind of thing in fiction, you'd bail the moment you saw it was set in high school.

Already own Lilycle but tempted to buy this for a couple others.
"OshiRabu: Waifus Over Husbandos" (retitle of Oshi no Love yori Koi no Love) has a problem worth highlighting though - you are not getting the full visual novel from Steam. If you check VNDB it's very clearly the "all ages" version which requires a patch downloaded separately (not through steam) through places like MangaGamer to enjoy the full game.
Kindred Spirits on the Roof by contrast (Okujou no Yurirei-san) does not have that problem - all versions are 18+ as intended and there's no censorship that I'm aware of.
Letters from a Rainy Day is always an all-ages version so no censorship, same with Lilycle
please be happy has no 18+ that I can seen, a bit of oddness varying between AllAges / 10+ / 12+ which likely doesn't matter.
SeaBed was rated 13+ in 2017 after some AllAges oddity in 2015, doubti t's censored.
Fatal Twelve is one I need help understanding since I see AllAges / 13+ / 15+ versions on VNDB. I see Steam linked under the DRM free version from April 2020 which says "All" so I'm thinking it probably has cut content like OshiRabu... though I could be wrong. It's 15+ for the PS4 release Aug2019 and 13+ for the NintendoSwitch version Sept2022 so maybe those companies just have their own rating system?
Blackberry Honey seems to be English-original, the Oct 2017 release date in English predates the 1st Japanese release date of March 2020 by a lot! This is definitely split into SFW and adult versions, but the free adult patch was added to steam in Sept 2019 so that squares it - if only OshiRabu would do this!
Night Cascades only ever had one version from Hanako so it's good, already own that one, meh
Highway Blossoms is in the same boat as Blackberry Honey, its early release June 2016 was censored but the "18+ Adult Only Content" patch was added to steam for free in September 2018, so while these games were misleading sales for the first couple years the devs eventually squared it. I already owned these but not the Next Exit supplemental story - curious about that 'Gold Rush Edition' graphic though.

honestly it seems its the valve approval people that are the reason alot of VN's aren't getting the patches on steam, I know they were the problem with Nekopara Vol 4's as around that time they started denying all sorts of things... I foresee many VN's only putting the all ages version on steam with an external patch(frequently just drag and drop file types) for the adult contnet.

I'm pretty sure the "different" versions of Fatal Twelve are just Sony and Nintendo putting their own rating on it, as I'm not aware of any censorship in the Steam version.
As for OshiRabu AFAIK the patch is a paid one, which might be why it's not sold through Steam (the ones for Blackberry Honey and Highway Blossoms are both free).
