Unmarking all boxes for things I don't want getting mails for in the 'Subscriptions' part under 'Orders & Settings', has resulted in getting very little mails from them. I only get the weekly mail, but I did check that box due to wanting those.

Any mail is still too many though, i guess it's a new strategy they feel like they need it.
And yeah we can unsubscribe each time (though i must say i thought the first time maybe it could have been a phising mail too) and not to mention the unsubscribe link is very very small.
I think they get more acceptance when it's one time, and not starting to do it with each giveaway now.

Nope, if you love to throw your email around like it's nothing to care about, fine.
Don't expect it from others, and to say take our crap or don't get our free game, just simply does not fly.
It's the same bull like saying oh i got nothing to hide, they can view or get anything from me.

THANK YOU! I still have to try the redux games since, for some reason, the original version I have won't run anymore.
Edit- not sure about anyone else, but I think this crashed GoG. :P

spot on, your right! after checking guidelines, I understand that we need to report all GA with marketing! xD
https://www.steamgifts.com/about/guidelines
"Advertising is when you are promoting products or services you are associated with, or when you are posting content that is paid or sponsored. Directly naming or linking to an associated product or service will always be viewed as advertising. General references (e.g. referring to your "website", "YouTube channel", or "Steam group") may also be viewed as advertising when we believe their purpose is to bring attention to an associated product or service for publicity or sales. Below is a breakdown of when advertising is allowed in our community. Remember, the above rules regarding user content still apply. For example, we might allow you to advertise in giveaway descriptions, but that does not permit you to post referral links or link to your website with illegal content."
