Torn on this. I've bought all the other boomer shooter bundles but I own more than half these, and for the price... then again I really wanted Ultrakill and really liked the first FMF...

A Boomer Shooter is a term used to describe newer FPS games (2010s and later) that are purposely designed to emulate the style and design principles of 1990s FPS games like Doom and Quake. The name "boomer shooter" is derived from the baby boomer generation, where "boomer" has since become slang for anything old or antiquated. According to New Blood Interactive CEO Dave Oshry, the term originated following the release of Dusk (2018), with fans of that game quickly coining the term. Wow anything old or antiquated. Sure sounds like that's all about being flattering eh? Can't wait to hear about the old colonial boomer housing, or the boomer ruins of Rome, or even the boomer pyramids! In all seriousness, to take an existing word, bastardise the name itself, then apply it to anything perceived as being in the general sense, seems derogatory to me, oh yeah, and lazy.

True, for me, the use of the word "Boomer" in relation to something old sounds very derogatory. Only, if it relates to something which belongs to said generation.
If I want to associate these games with a generation, then with the right one - that would be Generation X.

Especially since those games have nothing to do with boomers. My parents are boomers. They never played Doom or Quake. People playing those games in the 90ies were more likely to have been born in the mid 70ies to early 80ies

FANTASTIC BUNDLE. For people with an acquired taste for boomer shooters, this is a really good price to get ULTRAKILL and the other games.
And I say this despite owning Quake II and Prodeus.
