The new bundle is live and, as usual, please do not submit these games, keys from this bundle, or attempt to submit the bundle itself while it is on sale for the next 14 days and 4 hours.

Note: Buying this bundle also gives you Mac, Windows, and Linux versions of the games.

Reminder: You no longer receive keys when purchasing The Humble Bundle for under $1.00.

Enjoy.

Cant i talk about games even though i dont like them and wont buy them? There are some good games in this bundle, its not a bad bundle. I enjoyed Edge, osmos and Goo, but i still think the other bundles where better

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, I didn't say that. I just took exception to what I perceived to be your negative attitude towards the newest bundle. I'm sure you'll agree that even if it's not the best bundle, it's still at a really high standard.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I don't think it's all that bad. Most of the games are good, even if a couple have been offered before. The main point of the bundle this time seems to be getting the games on Android, which makes it worth buying for me even though I have the games already.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Im not saying its bad, just worse then the previous ones.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, the reason for that's no doubt because the games they chose not only had to be Windows/Linux/Mac compatable, but also available on Android. The number of bigger indie games like that is pretty small I think.

1 decade ago

He's still right though. One of the less exciting Humble Bundles so far.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not if you have an android smartphone. Then it's nice to have some pretty high-quality games when so many are just... bad.

But I understand that quite a few people won't care for it. I don't blame them. My point was more to point out that they really didn't have a huge number of options for the bundle this time.

I wonder how keys are divided in this one.

World of Goo seems to be separate (for more than average purchases), 3 others are in one.

1 decade ago

EDGE, Anomaly and Osmos in one key, and World of Goo in second

1 decade ago

Ah. Thanks folks. Hoped actually that Anomaly would be a separate one. Have that one on steam already and I guess extra copy will go to waste if I redeem the key for myself :<

So, is this Humble Indie Bundle 5? Because it was registered under this name on my account.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah I saw that too. And World of Goo was the "Humble Bundle 5 Bonus" so I wonder if it actually is the 5th one, or if they are going to have rename the actual 5th bundle to something else.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It is definitely not the HiB 5. This must have been a mistake. I wonder how this will affect the numbering scheme for future bundles.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

why would this not be the HIB5?

They have named other bundles under steam with different names

Frozenbyte Collection Retail
Frozen Synapse Humble Indie Bundle Retail
SpaceChem Humble Indie Bundle
Lexaloffle Humble Indie Bundle Reta
Introversion Humble Indie Bundle Retail

along with HIB1-5

This one should probably be called, "The Humble Bundle for Android" since that's what its called on the site.

1 decade ago

I think it's more like an "interlude" (like Voxatron, Introversion etc. bundles) than a big one which deserved to be a part of the main series.

Yeah and all of them will be available to people who paid more than 5$. I like the idea of minimum payment for steam keys, but at some point I began to think that Humble people became a little greedy. Very little now, I hope it wont escalate.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Tell me you were just kidding. 4+ games for 1$ and they are greedy? You made me LOL ... and sad.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You're pathetic... They explained perfectly why they made that limit and it was a damn good reason. If you're too cheap to pay a minimum limit of a measly dollar which all goes to developers, charity or keeping the site working, then I have no idea what you consider a worthwhile purchase.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

My guess is that the $1 requirement was asked by valve, not by the devs or people from wolfire.

You still get your games even for paying $0.01. You just don't get steam keys.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They implemented the $1 requirement halfway through the last one and while they cited the abuse for coal/coupon/game farming as the reason, they seemed to indicate it was entirely their doing with no input from Valve.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It just shows people are idiots and they can ruin even the most awesome thing given to us. The idea of humble bundle was to let us pay what we want, now there's a minimum (for the keys)... Not that I normally pay below $1 anyway, but I still think it ruined such a nice concept.

there are 9 spaces on the android for the unlock, so 9 spaces in the picture, thats just coincidence, doesnt mean there will be anything more. doesnt mean there wont be either...

Now that you have to pay at least $1 to get Steam keys but you can also still pay less than $1 for the bundle, how will giveaways for the bundle work in the future?

1 decade ago
Permalink

I would presume that if a bundle doesn't come with Steam keys, the giveaway maker gets banned.

So even with the minimum price of $1, you still can't submit the bundle while it's being sold?

1 decade ago

Nope. Takes a couple of weeks after the bundle sale has ended, for it to be available on here as a giftable game.

What will happen to giveaways of the games in this bundle that started before the bundle launched, but are still going on? (I saw that there was one for Anomaly: Warzone Earth)

Make a note that it's a gift and not the Bundle

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, since I already have World of Goo, and it is a separate key from the bundle, can I gift the key now, or do I have to wait till it is over?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

if there are going to be additional bonus games, then they will be attached to the BTA key (which is World of Goo right now). so you might want to hold onto that key for a while longer

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

No you can not giveaway the key at all, it is against the rules to give away an individual key from a Humble Bundle.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Against both the rules here, and the rules of the Humble Bundles themselves. It says on the page that ALL keys are for your personal use only. (if you gifted an entire bundle, then all the keys would be for that person's personal use. It's an all or nothing thing)

1 decade ago

Comment has been collapsed.

I want to create a giveaway privately for my group simply because steam gifts made it easy for me to send gifts out to players via email. My giveaway isn't for the general public and I'm pretty much using Steam gifts just as a tool for random selection among entrants. Could I host a private one under another indie bundle name? Or is there going to be some huge problem behind that?

It represented the android lockscreen pattern so maybe they weren't "for" anything.

Final stats:

2nd worst total sales (lowest was Humble Bundle 1)
2nd best total income of non-ordinal bundles (Best was Frozen Synapse) (All ordinal bundles have beaten all non-ordinal bundles)
Best average price since Humble bundle #2 (making it 3rd highest)
2nd best performance of Windows users in terms of average pay relative to total average (Voxatron beats it by 0.07%)
