Are IndieGala bundles evolving into an expensive indie games collection?

[Buy / GroupBuy] Don't Tell a Demon, but I loooove reading mysterious visual novels in the middle of the night.
[Have] Let's not start any Fires At Midnight just because I already own these and you don't.
[Skip] I'm not the Romantic type who enjoys reading on the PC. I prefer action gaming.
[Expensive] What's up with IndieGala prices lately? First they raise the price a lot during Happy Hour, making a GroupBuy (~$2) not very different from an early purchase (~$2.45), and now they basically double the price of a bundle? Crazy!

Seems it has 1 game I want which doesn't make it worth it, but am already surprised with that :P

While I can't speak for most of the games here yet (though I'm getting the bundle since I'm a nut for visual novels), Pumpkin Eater is quite well written. Short, but effective. It's also not for weak stomachs. =P

Considering that a $2.49 bundle is around $2 with a group buy of 40 copies (which is basically the lowest price possible), then you can more or less double that price for the current bundle. Of course, if you don't find a reservation spot for a 40-split, then the final price per copy during Happy Hour will be much much higher.

I'd guess the GB cost would be ~$2.90 (plus payment fees, if any, e.g. ~$3.30 with Paypal fees): this bundle had the same launch price as the Kawaii Novels bundle, which has a GB price around this amount, depending on host.

Also, as a rough guide: GB prices have been ~2/3 of the bundle launch price (fees excluded) since IG increased HH pricing last year.

If I bought the bundle previously how many bundles do I get if I purchase it during happy hour at the $6.24? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just found their FAQ on it confusing.

I've done artifex bundle all the time. While it has changed a few times, I see a consistent bonus 3 bundles, so 5 in total. Assuming its the same for every bundle

Oh I dont remember ever seeing that gift pack before. I see why you are confused
I can confirm I got 3 bonus gifts, i dont get that whole gift pack thing it clearly doesn't impact me

If you already purchased the bundle during the 1st week you’ll receive 3 gifts. If you purchased it after the 1st week of sale, you will receive 2 gifts. If you haven’t purchased the bundle yet, you will receive 1 gift.

For example, I haven't bought the bundle yet so if I purchased it now during the Happy Hour I would receive two copies (the one I purchase + 1 gift). Both are delivered as gift links, though. If I had bought it during the 1st week of sale I would receive 4 copies (the one I'm purchasing + 3 gifts). If I had bought it after the 1st week, 3 copies (the one I'm purchasing + 2 gifts).

Things get complicated if you choose a different "gift pack" (which is the whole point to group buys). A group buy host who buys the bundle during the 1st week and then buys a "x5" gift pack during Happy Hour will receive 20 copies of the bundle. In this particular bundle a "x5" gift pack costs $53.04 so the individual price bundle for every participant of the group buy would be ~$2.65 (minus fees).

I'm not sure if I was clear :D
