Both the Commander and East India Company keys activate as Gold products, separate from previous activations of the two games. I had both games and now I have the Gold versions as well.

Edit: Pirates is this way, as well.

Looks like the sort of bundle people buy just to make the steam library bigger. Can't imagine playing any of these games, although East India Company sounds familiar. Probably already bought it from GamersGate and forgot... :)

That could be the case but steam is also releasing cards for older games constantly who knows maybe some of these will have items some day.

I was actually interested in the WWII/WWIII games when a friend on steam bought them. I decided to wait it out for a sale but interestingly enough, it was bundled! XD

I played World War III Black Gold and Knight Shift years back and enjoyed both. WW III wasn't 'omagawd, fun!' level but still enjoyable (maybe because I played Earth series earlier) and Knight Shift was actually a good and solid game.

I played Knight Shift (polish name: "Polanie 2") long time ago and it was fantastic. Not only there is campaign, but also RPG mode. I hope it didn't get too old.

I had WWIII on my hands back in the day, a friend lent it to me. The game never wanted to run on my old PC, despite the benchmark tool running so swiftly and flawlessly. I... might pick this up, my curiosity will overtake me I think. That, and Knight Shift looks like an interesting concept.

On Steam maybe but I have this game on a magazine disc like for years.
Edit: Just noticed you are likely being ironic, since the release on Steam was in 2003. ^^

It wasn't. The game was released back then, it was added to Steam just recently... With old games added 'release date' often doesn't mean when it was released on Steam. You don't really think that something like Septerra Core was released on Steam in 1999?

That's what logic tells you and in this case you are probably right. But I have also seen old games on Steam that were listed as released in 2013. Too inconsisten for my liking.

Actually, KnightShift, WWII and WWIII were all released on Steam on Sept 27 this year. I think the date you are looking at is when the game was first released for PC.

So Pirates of Black Cove Gold Edition got added and I bought this bundle mainly for this. Just so you all know: The gold edition isn't the base game + dlc but a seperate game which has the content of the base game + dlc. But without achievements or anything. I am a bit "unhappy" now. -__-
