Not my personal pet, but as a teacher I allowed and then fought for the classroom pet to be in the classroom with us... as kids would say, to lower anxiety, stress... I'd say to make them more quiet and prevent any sort of violence (not that it happens but you know, less likely; growing up with an animal beside you raises empathy and tolerance and teaches responsibility)... I have to admit that I've got a soft spot for black and ginger cats. I mean, I love them all, but it's not a coincidence that my late cat was black, and my current kitty is, as you can see, ginger. And your fluffy friends are not just properly colored, but also absolutely adorable! :)

both mongrel i think. the caramel is VERY common in brazil. we have one in every corner and they are the most friendly by far. brazilians on internet (specially on international recognized sites like 9gag) think the caramel dog should be the national symbol. the black/white/caramel (almost them all have this exactly pattern) is a bit rarer, but still common.
there is also a cat visiting me almost every week... my stepdad doesn't like cats so he don't stay around for long... but when he sees me he goes right to my legs. i let him and pet him, although i'm very allergic to cat's hairs (some says i'm allegic to their saliva, which can be true too). has been two year and i didn't recognize which neighbor is the owner... :P
I unfortunately have no pets because I'm alergic to dogs, cats and most fluffy animals :( But i would love to have a tortoise (turtle?) or a lizard, they seem cool to have as pets.
Strictly speaking, she's breaking one of the basic rules on this photo: it's a kitchen table after all. But she looked so cute lying cozily in this bowl that I didn't have a heart to kick her out :)

I don't have a pet currently. Here are 2 pics of my latest dog instead, she died a few years back.
If I get another pet, it will be 2 cats. Because I'm out of my apartment between 05:30 and 15:45, cats are better suited to stay behind and amuse themselves.
It took me 6 years to recover enough and adopt a new kitten after my cat who'd been with me for more than 20 years died. It's hard. I hope that you'll be able to become a happy owner of those two cats pretty soon, we all need this sort of love in our lives.
