You're absolutely right but I tried to keep things lighthearted and it's such a delicate matter I'm not sure I could add something that has much impact.
I guess the best advice I can give to people who are feeling down over the holidays is to go outside, volunteer and try to help other people. That always makes me feel better. I've heard in some areas soup kitchens usually already have enough volunteers around that time of the year but many retirement or children homes have Community outreach programs or you could lend a helping hand at your local animal shelter.
