Today is Bastille Day in France and the country will once again be hoping for a French winner. Thomas Voeckler will be on camera more than any other rider today even though there are four other French riders with a better shot at this.
With 101 kilometres this is the shortest stage in the Tour since halfstages were a thing. That distance contains three category 1 climbs however and we'll likely see attacks and GC sparring from start to finish; many riders won't be happy with this at all. Might we see a Chris Froome and Michal Kwiatkowski duo descent to the finish? It would be nice to see Alejandro Valverde have a final hurrah here.
Winner: Warren Barguil
The Cascade d'Ars (Ars waterfall), which is 246 metres high and has three levels. There are many walks going up to and around the waterfall taking from three and a half hours to nine hours ranging from easy to very difficult.

After that great race yesterday, the 100 km are a risky thing: Maybe I go with a good hill-climber but not mountain ass. So I choose.....

It's going to be a very interesting stage tomorrow; it could go so many ways.

The French have a winner on Bastille Day, very well done by Warren!
These short stages sure bring some action, I predict we'll see more of them the coming years.
The GC didn't change that much though a few people gained and it's a bit more compact now. Hopefully we'll see a lot more fireworks in the mountains next week.
