The Cake Factory is open! Come join the tour!

Ah Venice!

At least, that's about as far as I got in this game. But that was back when you could commonly go to a tiny store that would custom build your PC for you and had no problem installing "shareware" on it, so I suspect it may have been a less than full version of the game. (...or I just couldn't figure out the next puzzle...) If I remember right, that was our PC with the "Turbo" button to switch between 33 MHz mode and 66 MHz mode.

But the game itself... I really did enjoy it for as far as I could get through it. I hadn't seen The Last Crusade more than once or twice, so I kept wondering why there was a circus train for the intro. But the game really does do a great job of following the movie right down to the animated red line following Indy's journey on a map, and it has some great dialog as well. I believe this was my first graphical point-and-click adventure game, too. It was definitely my first encounter with Chuck the plant, but obviously (if you've explored The Cake Factory a tiny bit), even that small detail had an impact on me. :)

My favorite movie in the entire series. (And by the way, I still don't get all the hate for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I thought Temple of Doom was cheesy and worse.

Ack! I just can't agree with you on Crystal Skull versus Temple of Doom. There's lots of things I didn't like about Crystal Skull, but I at least appreciate that they tried. (I actually didn't mind the refrigerator part. For me, the cringey bits were mostly the monkeys, "retorno", and something else I've forgotten now... I think I only watched it once.) Temple had some oddness, but I watched it when I was young so Short Round didn't bother me much then. But yes... The Last Crusade... easily the best of them. :)
