Happy Holidays

Hello, how are you? I'm doing alright.

Still no luck getting a PS5 though. Oh well, I'll get one eventually.

Anyway, enough of that. Are you excited for any upcoming game releases?

I'm tired. Perpetually, inexplicably, tired. Too tired to even play games, which really makes me sad. :(

+1 to tired
In my case often because of the blood loose but the last days on top unexplicably days too.
Maybe because i done a lot of works the last weeks, playing games and write reviews of them too.
So i assume that my body said "enough, slow down" and that i need(ed) a few days with lesser workload.

Blood loss? Oh no! Is everything okay?

I think for me it's partly due to stress, and partly... well, I'm not sure. I feel like maybe I'm not getting enough sleep, but I usually get 7 hours of sleep a night, so I don't know what it could be.

The last three days were the worst. I had a virtual meeting today that I kept yawning through. And yesterday I got back from an MRI just in time to make dinner, and I wasn't sure if I would be able to even make dinner. I was struggling so much that I made and drank a cup of coffee just to get me through making dinner - and I don't usually drink coffee.

I think you're right, I think our bodies just need a break to rest and recharge. I'm just surprised that I'm so tired coming out of a 4 day weekend.

Oh well, hang in there!

It sound good that you realize for yourself that you, maybe, need more rest. It isn't wrong to hear on the signs your body send.

I know that very well because i don't done it as very young adult and pay with the illness, each day, for it.
I learned to hear at my body because he force me to it ^^

As far as it can be it is ok with mychronic bowel inflamation, since 24 years, that give me constant open wounds in the bowel and of course pain and blood loose.
On top a surgery (one of three) that should be made this year but were pushed 2x away because of Corona and at the third time i laid fresh shaped, with green marker marks where they they will cut and then after the surgery should had begun came the Professor in the room and said "we don't have a OP (surgery room) free" (WTF?!) and sended me back home.
Since 10 weeks before the (Not-)surgery i am without medicine, needed to stop with the immun suppression because of the wound healing after the surgery (and maybe more reasons). I found out that a good bunch of, sadly not all, of my, additional, problems came from cow milk (and none of my, many, docs checked that all the years...). Since that moment when i found that out i avoid it wherever i can and said "no" to the surgery, at least for this year. Maybe were all the problems with the surgery a sign (or maybe i only get crazy :-D ).
And in general let's say the corona situation isn't helpful for anyone and me too with a social life (the illness cut a lot of that anyway).
Plus christmas + new year is anyway a bad mood time for me. Missing one person that have a very big part in my heart.

So i will be happy when it is end of January and my mood better ;o)

Oof, that's a rough combination indeed. Just hang in there until this part of the season is over, and hopefully things will improve in the spring. And hopefully avoiding cow milk will reduce your problems - that's a great catch on your part. Good luck!

There are personally 2 games that stick in my mind:

  1. Vacant Kingdom: It's currently in development but the demo was super fun.

  2. Chicory: A Colorful Tale: Zelda like game with fun paintbrush mechanic. Similar as the first game, I tried a demo and it was quite enjoyable.

Neither have explicit release times, but the demo's themselves were super memorable, which makes me excited for their full releases.

Our days and lives go by so quick and we often sometimes don't ask such a basic and yet simple question of how are you doing to our peers. As quoted from a motivational video on YouTube:

"I think what might've been worthwhile to explain to myself at 20 is to recognize that every single person you meet is struggling. I didn't know that then. You tend to see others as completely foreign individuals. ... No matter how expensive their suite or serious their expression is, they are looking for significance. They are trying to do the best they can, and they fail regularly. And they're within their own particular battle in their own life... Don't let them off the hook but recognize the shared nature of being a human being and let people be themselves, make some allowances for them, treat people a little more kindly as a result."

Well it is a 10-minute video and that is just the first minute or so and I think you probably get the gist.

Tried getting a PS5 myself but it didn't work out, retailer messed up but these things happen. Looking at my current backlog of games, I really don't need it so maybe a blessing in disguise. Hope to pick one up in maybe a year's time with a good bundle. Game Pass, Humble Choice and my PS4 games will tide me over until then.

Thanks for the giveaway!
