Man, I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why the giveaway code YLcrb wasn't working. Apparently, my browser was acting up and using previous incorrect entry (lowercase ylcrb).... even slowly manually inputting and going wasn't working, cache kept visiting previous incorrect link.... had to use a new browser for it to work.

And no, I didn't know about that site.

Didn't know about this, so thanks for sharing a fantastic TIL of the day. I had to read the "About" pages in there before I realise what the wall of text you provided might be for. I had simply thought that Hexagon=6 and the wall of text I subsequently landed in was for some cipher decoding against the text you provided. Intuitively speaking, those 3000+ chars simply shouldn't belong in a small textbox / URL bar!

That said, I still have no idea how the library works like it does. bookmarks for another day

Knew about this, probably from vsauce from watching his videos 8 years ago lol but here's an excerpt from the about section on library of babel. I think it works on a per-page system so you may not find an entire real book written in library of babel by clicking "next page", you'll have to jump between different hexagons, shelves, and etc. but that individual page is the exact copy of the real book. It says "including lower case letters, space, commas, and period" but that doesn't mean "including this as well", it means excluding everything that's not on that list like UPPERCASE and number5.

I intended to try all 5-characters strings, until I realize that the chance of the giveaway code is a dictionary word is quite low.
