I played around with different ideas for my door endlessly. Finally reached the point where I had run out of time.
and here I am with no puzzle to make this door memorable. All I can do at this point is follow the time theme of this gib and ask how christmas has changed for you over the years.
Has the way you celebrated it changed in any way? Has the meaning of it changed for you?

Personally its always been a family event for me with a big dinner and gifts but due to moving and stuff the family I've spent it with has changed over the years (from great-aunt and uncle + various distant relatives to grandparents and my mothers siblings to step family and their relatives.)
Its also changed from a time when I was excited about getting gifts to a time where I was more excited about finding gifts for family and friends. (although somewhere along the lines thats become stressful because I've yet to find alot of my gifts this year and I'm starting to panic aaaaa what does a 14 year old girl like I haven't hung out much with my sister since going to university)

If she's artsy, give her a journal/paints/pens bundle. Or maybe try some DIY kits, or something jewelry like? If she doesn't have an fujifilm instax camera, get her that (I know many kids/people who have one and love it).

A good pair of earphones, iTunes credit or subscription to a steaming music/movie service, maybe. Everyone likes music and movies!

I'm an international student living with a Canadian family atm. The way people celebrate Xmas here is different. Bigger and fancier with all the gifts and food I guess :p Being away from family means that I just want to go home every chance I get to see my parents again.
Thank you for the gibs :3

Do you like it here in Canada? :3
\o/
I'm happy to be living alone but every once in awhile I miss my family...so Christmas is a time to bond I guess

Oh, it's definitely an experience! I would never imagine that there would be a place where all kind of different people, with different beliefs and ethnicities, would mix so well you know. The weather is kinda harsh tho haha, really living up to its reputation :P
And I feel the same way about family haha. I like to do my own things my way too. It's just that I've been gone for like almost 3 years now, so some time I just want to squeeze my mom's face for a bit hehe.
Cherish the things u have and have a warm Christmas fellow Canuck ;)

It's changed a lot over the years. Used to go to my uncle's grandfather's house who would dress up as Santa who would fling chocolate at everyone (it became a game not to be sure to catch it or stuff might break lol the old man had a strong arm) and there'd be like 20 family members there, eating and hanging out. Then on Christmas day would force my dad to wake up by 6am (peeking in the stockings and poking presents in the meantime) and open gifts with my parents and brothers, have a nice breakfast, then head off to my aunt & uncle's house in the afternoon to spend more time with family.
Now it's my mom and two brothers, no gifts or tree this year for the first time ever but still love spending time with them. They often work so it's more sporadic, a month of doing stuff together when possible. Playing board/video games and seeing Christmas lights. Appreciate the company a lot and emphasis on time shared over gifts now, since nobody really needs anything. Now I donate to charities instead what I'm able, so it all works out!
Happy holidays and good luck finding gifts! I'm sure she'll enjoy it whatever it is you find. :)

Well. It's first Christmas with my wife this year so it's somehow like starting new traditions. Yes.

I haven't had a proper christmas since starting the university, I guess that counts for a change in the holiday

...sadddd m8. :/
I want to organize a christmas party with my friends- have this whole plan of making hot chocolate and putting wiskey in it and doing a secret santa and stuff.

We had a similar one with friends once or twice before christmas, but the actual holiday is always in our exam period - so either studying, or feeling guilt-tripped for not studying.

I own this one, but are still able to enter, so remember to check your winner.

thankss
I figured based on the fact that nothing could parse the package correctly (isthereanydeal etc) and due to the first episode being free steam even has it all priced at N/A...
but thanks for informing me

I have always spent Christmas with my parents and, even now that I am 39, living abroad and with a family of my own, I still make it a point to go back home during this time of year.
This year it will be somewhat different because instead of going back home, we are all going to Slovenia, where my sister is currently living. This will probably be my first white christmas :)
As for the meaning, it was always about getting together with my family and since I basically stopped living with my parents when I went to the university and have moved around quite a bit, it has become even more important over the years. Nowadays it has the added flavour of my 2 year old daughter and it is quite fun.

Always had my brothers round so it was full family but the last few years they've spent it their own way. Christmas is less of a joy and more a day off now. However we have a young dog that we get to share it with this year (got her the start of the year). Can't complain about that.

Flights too expensive, so less family time, so it has become less meaningful. Sad, eh?

We used to gather at my parents' house in the past. This year the baton will be passed on to me, for the first time the whole family will come to our house for christmas.
Not looking forward to all that cooking though...
Thanks for the giveaway and merry christmas to all!

Oh I imagin the cooking won't be to bad...I've found cooking for festivities to be quite fun. (I can only really muster up enough energy to properly cook for other people...kinda flop when it comes to making stuff for myself)
the dishes on the other hand...merry Christmas \o/

I recommend a gift certificate to Ulta Beauty if she's into make-up and beauty products. That or a cool clothing store...

also like...I just said one person but I have loads of people I still need to find gifts forComment has been collapsed.
Oh and I can enter for this despite owning it!

It hasn't changed much in how we celebrate, so far the only relevant thing is that now there is more people.
If had to name something that has really changed, it would be my feelings during this month and my disinterest towards the festivities. I realized that over the years I have been developing an increasing self contempt.
I accept that fact but I also can't help to give reasons to myself to justify this feeling. During Christmas I tend to isolate myself, even when we are all gathered to celebrate, focused in my mobile or watching the TV because if I don't keep my mind busy, it goes to dark places I would rather avoid.

We use to go to my Uncle's house, but my cousins/brothers started having kids and it got too crowded for a while until each branch of the family decide to do their own thing.
Two xmas ago, my brothers came here and we started a tradition of staying up from the 22nd to the 23rd watching old 80s action movies like Highlander, Cobra, Rambo, Over the Top, Die Hard, Rocky... We should reach the 90s this year while watching all the sequels. xD
BTW, for some reason I can join the GA even though I own this game.

\o/ its cause of the package being buggy I've been informed but thanks :3

It's been a while since I've celebrated it. I miss doing the whole Christmas thing. =\

For my family Christmas was never a religious thing, just about getting together with family, giving gifts to each other, eating some nice food.
The biggest difference now is that all of my grandparents are dead, we used to go to their houses, since they are gone we don't all get together anymore with all of my aunts/uncles/cousins. Now I'll visit my parents, and my wife's mom (her dad lives on a different continent). And we're all adults, so no more gift buying. It's a lot more casual and less of a big event, but the important thing is spending time with family while we still have the opportunity.

Radically. New people in my life as well as life constantly evolving.
I used to go along with whatever celebration with the family, but these past few years are more deliberate choices on activities that I want to do. The meaning of it hasn't changed. I don't really go for the holiday spirit, but I do enjoy the social aspect. Everyone makes time during this part of the year so it's easy to get together and catch up.

Yeah, we used to do the traditional thing with a christmas tree and presents, but now we don't have money to spare for that as we're saving up to repair our heating system, so for the past couple of years we have dinner and watch an oldtimey movie my parents love. Which is nice and all, but everybody's just stressed and bummed out about christmas expectations so I wish we would just skip it. But my parents are sad to let the past go.
I can't wait until we move on to our next tradition where I (hopefully) have the means to buy a lot of nice gifts and prepare dinner for them myself.
Thank you for giving this lovely game away. I can't believe it's been over two years since I got to anticipate each new episode. ^__^

Good luck with reaching your goal! \o/
And yeah I remember I only had to wait for the last episode and was able to play through the first 4 all at once which was really nice.
Has it really been two years? Wew I thought I played through it alot more recently.

I've had a depression for many years, and Christmas was one horrible time for me. And It was around Christmas when I really broke down. Some negativity still slips in around this time.
But I've met my wife and life is much better. Sadly she has to work the 26th. But we are going to enjoy Christmas now.
A little one on its way. So next year will be totally different, if everything goes according to plan
Comment has been collapsed.
The holidays are hard when you're depressed. I went through that too and I had to carry a lot of ghosts around in December so it was a tough time. It's good to have love in your life, it helps and your story warms my heart. Hope you have a great Christmas together.
